YOU GUYS! D'awwwww

Been reading Superman: Secret Origin. Resonating way better than Birthright imo.

You're right. They don't call the shots. My argument is when a director believes in what he is directing (Spider-Man 1 & 2) you'll get a better output than when they don't believe in the project (Spider-Man 3). He wanted to do Vulture, instead they made him do Venom which he didn't want to do. The result? Spider-Man 3. That's why it feels like it was a different director.

Actually the initial scripts of SM2 had vulture in them, another script had 3 villains including black cat which Avi Arad refused after which we ended up with what we saw

So you see,you win some, you lose some

Which is why I don't get the hate attached with Avi Arad,he was responsible for SM1 and SM2 which were both excellent movies.People tend to forget that

He was also somewhat responsible for The Incredible Hulk and Iron Man. But nooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! He sucks! :o

Incredible Hulk is still my favorite Marvel movie

I'd love it if they released the Spectacluar Spider-man on Blu ray.

Am I the only one here, that does not watch superhero cartoons...

I don't either.

TSSM was really the only time I cared about a SH cartoon. If you like Spidey, which I think you do, then you'll love it. Trust me. 22 Episodes of awesomeness.

26 episodes of awesomeness

was stubborn at first and chose not to watch it - to my mind, nothing could come close to the animated series in the 90s. Boy did I eat my words... TSSM is fantastic

I really wish the 90s series was the best Spidey show :csad:

It sucks how they canceled TSSM. There was so much potential for future episodes.

Jesus, I know. What a bad decision.

I watched one episode of USM. It's just not my thing.

Watched them as a kid. Loved the 90's Series and yes I actually liked MTV Spider-Man. That show is quite underrated.

Yeah, I watched the MTV one about two months back. Was surprisingly enjoyable. I tried to convince a few friends to give it a chance and they declined pretty much citing the 'crappy looking graphics' as the reason :(

GG, seriously. I think you'd dig TSSM. I was hooked. I finished the series in like 2 days, lol.

You really need to watch TSSM. It may be an animated show and that may not be your thing, but as others have said, TSSM is a definitive example of Spider-man. It's a perfect blend of his various incarnations and as a diehard Spidey fan, imo, it's the best rendition of his character outside of the comics. Give it a chance, you won't be sorry. I've watched like two episodes of Ultimate Spider-man and that show is so dreadfully awful it wouldn't even make the cutting room floor of TSSM.

Will do  I actually watched USM on Disney XD with my younger cousin (she's about 7) and while she liked it I really hated it.
