People like you, Eggyman, Gueststar2004, SpideyK and some others are making me feel hopeful that I'll like the movie. Jeremy Jahns gave his review and I'm really disappointed... :(
The poll thread here has most people giving the film 8 and 9 out of 10. Fingers crossed you like the movie. Not long for you now, I think?

I'll be seeing the film 3 days from now (May 2nd), but I'm thinking about adding my rating after a second viewing. I plan on seeing the film again on May 9th or 10th.

I enjoy the Peter/Gwen relationship a lot and love the Oscorp and parents storyline, something a lot of critics seem to hate, so I hope I'll end up loving the movie.

I'll tell you right now that it's gonna be a looong wait for your second viewing lol. It'll just feel like it, I mean.

It felt like a month between my first and second viewings, but in reality was 3 days. Could not stop thinking about it between.

Yeah, it probably will feel like a long wait in between. :(

Seems like a month from now till Thursday (7 p.m)... :(

Just get the first one over with. The second time you'll last longer.

Don't let Jeremy's review let you down the slightest (I'm watching it now, and agree about the two guys on the roof from BATMAN being on the poster bit :funny:)
The movie is good fun, it's worth watching, as a huge Spidey fan you will enjoy it

2 viewings are always better than one

Thing is, I was questioned in TDKR thread a while ago about not liking that film for certain complaints I have, yet I love TDK and was pointed to a number of problems that film has. My answer: I love TDK for (reasons), and can be more forgiving of its flaws because of this. Same here. I recognise the flaws, but love the film because of the things it gets right.

So yeah... Godzilla is looking absolutely amazing at this point. They're finally going to give that franchise justice. Can't wait!

Good to hear, Picard.

Btw, I can definitely see where Jeremy's coming from, but I can't agree with him (even if I usually do).

And Stuckmann was complaint about the Rhino was a little stupid, tbh.

Doesn't it serve a thematic purpose like we all had predicted? If that's the case, i don't understand why so many people don't get it.

I have been disagreeing with Jahns more and more lately. I hated his review for GTA V to be honest.

I think the issue is that most people (critics and the GA) were expecting Rhino to have a much bigger role in the film. Seeing him come in at the last minute for a quick tease felt too much like a tease and it brought in some disappointment. Since I'm expecting this I doubt it'll bother me all that much.

It kinda does.

Opening the movie with Rhino and finished the movie with Rhino is a pretty decent way of tying it up.

Stuckmann was mainly complaining about Rhino only being in the movie for 4 minutes, though - that's what bugged me. Can't believe people are going around expecting freakin' deep origin stories about Rhino.

We go from, "there are too many villains" to, "there isn't enough of Rhino!"

It's funny because this is exactly what we all predicted.

"Wait, there's Rhino? Too many villains! Wait, it's only just a cameo? They are setting him up for future films!" :whatever:

Edit: What Picard said, lol.

Stuckmann's much worse.

When ASM came out, he gave a full review of it where he said lots of good stuff about it (he really liked the Horner score, for instance), and ended up giving the movie an A- or B+ (don't really remember).

Around the time the ASM2 trailer comes out, he f**king removes his review of ASM and starts talking trash about the it.

I've lost a lot of respect for the guy, and he doesn't feel nearly as genuine as Jeremy (even if I don't agree with his ASM2 review).

I never watched Stuckmann's reviews and it looks like I won't be subscribing to him anytime soon. Taking down his initial review over a year later and changing his stance on it is pretty darn lame.

Wow, couldn't sum it up better, myself. I think that's going in my sig, haha.

Indeed.

I mean, views on a film can of course change with time, but it's pretty f**king ugly of him to do what he did.

It looks like i'll be skipping Amazing Spider-Man 2

"God help us all..."

"Can we kill it?"

"I believe something can."

"A monster?"

"No... A God."

Why am I more excited for Godzilla than Spider-Man right now?

He could have just made a follow-up video about his thoughts on TASM1 or mentioned how his opinion changed in his TASM2 review.

Why not just see it for yourself and make your own opinion? At least get a matinée or a discounted ticket.

I'm honestly neutral towards Godzilla right now. I'll see it at some point though.
