I dont know about you guys but Im excited about this film, Ever since Del Toro was attached to play! What do you guys think about it?

Just rewatched the movie for the first time since I saw it at the cinema.

The movie might suck as a story and directing, but it's glouriously amazing achievement of art. The makeup (that just won oscar) was very good and massive, but I believe the movie had an oscar quality Art and Costumes.

Still, the movie wasn't all that good, but visually was a beauty.

^I still think the extended version is a very under-rated movie, nothing special of course, but something I like to watch every now and again, will never watch the normal version again of course.

But yeah visually is were the movie is strongest.

Being a big fan of Universal Monster movies, and werewolves in general, I'm happy that they use man under a makeup approach on that Wolves movie. The movie itself looks kind of lame and generic, but I'm going to watch it anyway.

The Wolfman remake wasn't all I hoped it would be. The original script by Andrew Kevin Walker was really good and had cool stuff like The Wolfman fighting an alligator. It was when The Wolfman was on a rampage in London, and goes to a zoo, finds a pool to drink from and it's the alligators pool. Fight ensued. There was even a bit more on the Jack The Ripper case, that's why there was Detective Abberline in the movie as well.
Perhaps it would have been a better movie with the original director, Mark Romanek.

Wolves with Jason Momoa looks interesting. Yeah, I am glad they are getting away from the transformation to a beast shaped creature and are keeping with the man-shape appearance. Storywise, it is looking (from the trailer anyway) something like Werewolf The Beast Within which IMO was complete rubbish. The remake of The Wolfman was a big let down when Anthony Hopkins was over-used by playing the werewolf who infected his son. I'll take Claude Rains' portrayal as Talbot Senior any day!

I really believe that the best werewolf film in many years was Wolf with Jack Nicholson playing an excellent troubled hero and Michelle Pfeiffer an excellent heroine. This film deserves a lot more credit and it had the excellent direction of Mike Nichols. It also had James Spader and Christopher Plummer who were good in supporting roles.

Makeup design was top notch. Pity the movie itself didn't deserve it.

I haven't thought about this movie in years but I remember enjoying it. The asylum scene in Kane's first GIF was the highlight.

What a huge disappointment. I remember being so excited.

The one greatest thing about this movie is the cinematography. It is absolutely gorgeous.

Bit of an underrated movie for me at the time, don’t know how it holds up been awhile since I watched it.

Mattson Tomlin has been heavily implying on Twitter that he's writing a new Wolfman film.
