This is a continuation thread, the old thread is [split]312050[/split]
I think he said he would never do another one, its finished for him.
"I love the character, and the three movies we did, so I'd love to figure out a way to do another one. I'm going to talk to Paul Greengrass about it."
But he doubts a new film would bring him and Renner together:"I don't see those characters teaming up with anybody."
Definitely. I think this whole Renner period is just a silly place holder Universal is putting out until Damon and Greengrass get their stuff toghether on how they want to continue the series.
To me these movies are pretty much the Tokyo Drifts of the series until we get the main guy/cast back like in F&F part 4, as an analogy.
What if they end up with Damon coming back and they turn it into a prequel of sorts and showing Bourne's training and all. I would not be suprised.
I still haven't seen Legacy yet because of the lack of Bourne...
Whatever training that Bourne had, we had enough hinted at with the first three movies. Showing it as a full movie is just pointless.
The Bourne comparison: http://www.boxofficemojo.com/showdowns/chart/?id=vs-bourne.htm
The most expensive Bourne film made the least amount of money. That should tell them something.
Everything just costs more now than it did back when the other 3 were made. Hence the higher budget. It'd be a fun twist if Aaron Cross was doing the bad guys bidding without knowing and the final confrontation is with Jason Bourne and Bourne kills him. I normally would say Damon is way too old for these movies but man he is ripped in Elysium
