Days of Future Past Wolverine Will Be in Days of Future Past

From The Hollywood Reporter

Director Bryan Singer continues to merge past and present X-Men actors for Fox’s X-Men: Days of Future Past.

Sources confirm that Hugh Jackman is in negotiations to reprise Wolverine in the movie, which is ostensibly a sequel to X-Men: First Class but will prominently feature actors from the first X-Men trilogy (the first two of which Singer directed).

That's interesting news. I don't like that the Hollywood Reporter called The Wolverine a sequel to XMO: Wolverine.

Expected, but still great. I just hope he isn't the time traveler.

Expected, and still exciting.

The last expected person is Halle Berry... anyone else is what will be the surprise for me. Can't wait.

Yeah, I'm really curious to hear who they're going to announce next.

I can't wait for past Erik and Charles to meet Wolverine.

"Charles isn't that the guy who told us to **** off?"

Now we need Ellen Page, Halle Berry and James Marsden back.

Cyclops has to be there if Havok it will be still around.

Who ever thought an X-Men movie would be an event film? :D

You know Mark Millar is creaming his pantaloons at the prospect of an Old Man Logan on screen.

Me too! This is shaping up pretty well so far.

Agreed. Such a good cast.

I can't believe we have to wait a year for a trailer to this thing. Hopefully, they will have something for us at comic-con. The updates have been great, though.

The XMFC cast is going to be so secondary in this film it's like they won't even be there at all. Sir Ian and Sir Patrick? I can deal. Wolverine, are you kidding me???? This isn't XMFC2 anymore, this is bloody X4. I'm officially and completely done. All I can hope for is that it isn't a colossal failure at the box office so they can make a proper third movie about the XMFC team.

It shouldn't be a surprise that Wolverine is going to be in this movie. I understand your concern, but don't share it... yet. McAvoy, Fassbender, and Lawrence have too much to offer to be reduced to such secondary roles, especially since they are the ones to carry on the franchise once Days of Future Past has come and gone.

Or a teaser in front of The Wolverine, since that's out next July.

Same. Its more of a sequel to X: TLS.

It has flashbacks to his WWII days/Pre X-Men days, but it is predominantly in the "present" after X: TLS.

I have said this should be viewed as sequel to all X-Men films now not just First Class. This Is Fox's answer to the Avengers.

I still expext majority of film will be set In past Inless they have Xavier change minds with his younger self.

We have to wait and see If Wolverine will be time traveler or not.Even If he stays In future I expect future Wolverine to play key role In that part of film.

I would have expected Jackman to be the first confirmed, if he were to have such a pivotal role, though I could be wrong. I hope I'm not, as I think Wolverine should stay in the future.

It's great to be excited about an X-men film again, not since post-x2 have i been this giddy about the possibilities. I'm not much of an avengers guy, X-Men has always been #1. This film definitely trumps the marvel phase films by a mile when talking my anticipation.

Unless they decide that it's actually going to span TWO movies instead of just one. Which, please I hope not. I get that Avengers put the thirst for an event movie in Fox's eyes but this is not the right way to do it.

If this was the third movie I would be unbelieeeevably excited. But they really should be tackling 60's team character development before they move onto a massive ensemble cast. Leaving it for the third movie would have wrapped up everything nicely, leaving room for more XMFC (if Fassbender/McAvoy/Lawrence were up to it) and perhaps even X4. They really screwed up.
