Which super villain who is a woman do you think will be the first to headline her own movie?

Just to keep it tight I'm limiting it to the MCU for now, not the foxverse or whatever.

I reckon Enchantress will come sooner rather than later

I don't think any female supervillain will be headlining a movie anytime soon, but I sure would like to see the Enchantress and Moonstone as major villains on-screen!

Hopefully Hela is the main villain of Thor: Ragnarok. It'd be so disappointing, and such a waste of Cate Blanchett, if she just turns out to be a pawn/lacky of another baddie.

Also ditto on wanting to see Enchantress.

Heck I still think that IM3 would have been a far more interesting film if Maya Hansen had ended up being the main villain, as opposed to Aldrich Killian.

It's such a shame that they haven't had one yet. I do think Iron Man 3 would have benefitted from the female villain. Everything about the villains in the final version kind of fell flat.

Feel free to make some casting suggestions too if you want. I reckon sigrid Thornton would make an amazing Morganna for example.

And as for Cate as hela, I don't know. Can she portray her well or did she only get the job because she's tall?

According to Shane Black, IM3 was originally supposed to have a female main villain (IDK for sure that it was Maya, but given that he also said that Rebecca Hall's role was cut down, it's pretty plausible I think), but it was vetoes by Ike Perlmu...I mean some unidentified "higher ups" at Marvel.

I strongly suspect the first one will be Hela, which is good, she's a strong villain. I'd also love to see Amora at some point, but not Thor 3. I'm only counting movies, so not Luke Cage or Season 2 of Agent Carter.

Well, Hela confirmed today. So, unless we have some surprise in Dr Strange, Guradians 2 or Spidey Homecoming that none of us suspect, she'll be the first.

Random plot guess: Hela is coming to Asgard, because she wishes to claim Odin in person, after realizing that he is being kept in Odinsleep by Loki and is vulnerable and practically dead. Now, if Odin were awake and healthy, he'd be able to fight her off just fine. . . but he's not. Thus, the heroes have to do a ton of stuff to try and stop her, probably involving the Soul Stone ( either to defeat Hela or to revive Odin ).

It'd be a way to have a grand, Asgard-threatening plot, while also having it ultimately center around the relationship between a handful of people.

Perhaps she manipulates The Hulk into going crazy and attacking Asgard as well.
