I personally would rather the avengers movie leant more towards the original avengers than the ultimates. I want to see an avanegers film which has actual super-HEROES. The ultimates are cool and they kick ass BUT at this point they are not HEROES. A hero only kills when neccesary, if marvel captain america is fighting zemo he tries to knock him out so he can hand him over to the police. Ok he might get out but you have to take that risk. Otherwise why not kill muggers, they will only get out of prison later to do it again. I want to see at least one more film like daredevil where the hero holds back from killing the villain thereby showing he is better than the villain.

(Sorry about the triple posting something must ahve gone screwy. Leave this one delete the other 2 please.)

Establish the big guns in solo movies, then incorporate them into the Avengers-a superhero team, not a superpowered GI Joe team.

As much as i like the Ultimate line, and i do, nothing on there is better than the original deal...or even close.
So, Avengers all the way.

Well, I think TIH and IM are gonna run closer to the 616 version in look anyway so I think that leans more towards Marvel doing an Avengers movie. Then again, their 2 animated ventures were based on the Ultimates so who knows.
I would prefer going the Avengers route with Cap, IM, Thor, Antman (and wasp) going after the Hulk. Nick Fury optional IMO.

NO FURY!!!!!!!!!!!!
Fury = Ultimates. And I'm not thrilled about the Hulk angle either.

I would most prefer a direct adaptation of The Ultimates. But if they're going to change it at all, or do a mesh of different things, I'd rather it just be the Avengers.

Well, Fury I can understand but what's the deal with Hulk? He was integral to the formation of the 616 Avengers! Why would you NOT want him?

He was also integral to the introduction of Wolverine. Means nothing.
The Hulk is not 100% hero nor 100% villain, & I want a villain for the Avengers movie, as the team chasing the Hulk was also an Ultimates plot device.

Avengers. The swat team thing was already done with X-men. I want to see superheroes get together. They are marvel's Justice League after all. The X-men are more like...Marvel's Doom Patrol.

Simular to the animated videoes-both! If they went with the (insert foul language) version of Captain America over the classic hero, I know I wouldn't be the only one dissapointed.

Ultimates, the comic not the crappy ultimate avengers cartoon.

Classic Avengers, of course, although they could possibly throw in some New Avengers who weren't on the starting line-up in the comics. I dont know if I want Spider-Man in there, but like Luke Cage for example, since he's getting his own movie you could throw him in there without having to really introduce his character all that much. But for the characterizations and looks of the individual characters, i want 616.

I'm rooting for a 616 Avengers movie. The Ultimates was a cool comic, but the history of it just isn't vast enough, IMO, to make a badass movie.

Just look at those crappy animated movies.

Ultimates, without a doubt. More rooted in reality and more relevant to today's world scenario.

616 Universe Avengers, the Ultimate Avengers kind of suck.

Hulk is not integral to the introduction of Wolverine as he is to the Avengers. Wolverine could have made his appearance in any of the comics. Heck, Giant Size X-men #1 could've been his intro. But what other character at the time could've been a cause to bring together the other heroes to battle who would then end up joining the team (albeit for a very short time!)? Ok, maybe Namor but using your reason, he is no more suited than the Hulk, and having to choose between the 2, I would rather have the Hulk. And Hulk was never the real "villain" of the Avengers' origin anyway, it was Loki.
So bring in Loki as the villain (I only mentioned the heroes I would like to see) as he was in the classic Avengers origin.
I know we're each just expressing our own opinion, but the truth is, unless I read the way things are unfolding wrong, the Avengers movie will consist of Cap, IM, Thor, Ant man, Hulk, and Fury, the 6 movies Marvel are making priority. I guess time will tell.

Avengers. If youre basing it on Ultimates, call it Ultimates.

I don't even like the name "Ultimates"; it sounds arrogant. Granted the Avengers never actually avenged anything, but the name's been a Marvel staple for decades.

Thats why they don`t want to have a 616 - ultimates crossover. The 616 guys would take one glance around and arrest the ultimates for all their crimes against the impoverished masses of ultimatesworld.

You should add another choice. Or not be made at all. The avengers suck. West Coast Avengers only redeeming quality that Moon Night was in it. I mean come on, a super team of what, like 8 or 9 heroes and Doc Doom takes over the world on their watch? Yikes!

Do the ultimates have a punchy battlecry?

"Ultimates Murder Indiscriminately!!" lol

"American Imperilaism AWAAAAAAAAY!!!" lol

Or do they just salute and yell "Seig Heil!"? lol
