Already announced for development are a film inspired by Grant Morrison's Batman and Son comic, as well as a Paradise Island HBO series about the Amazons of Themyscira.

The latter is "slow moving, but it's moving," Gunn says, while confirming a Wonder Woman movie is "being written right now."

About time, lets cast a decent human being for once. :o

But will it come out before or after The Batman Part II? Or Paradise Lost, even? Would like to see it, but we'll see. Curious who they'll cast.

Just dropping in to shout “Courtney Eaton!” before any of the others can have their say.

Nevermind... I have to wait for a greenlight.

Next year "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" and "Calyface".
2027 could be the year of "Wonder Woman" and "Teen Titans"?
I know about those two other films. But if they are really rebooting DC movies. One of the earlier films alongside Superman, should be a movie for Wonder Woman.

agreed but there's no way that this can get released until mid 2027 at the earliest. So likely 2028. Which will be an awful year for me.

Films are made when you have the right idea, the right subject, the right script and not to meet dates, outlines and timelines and then refine everything.

They are writing it right now, the film will come out when it is ready. And great.

I feel like something major should be happening now, (hiring a writer, director, lead role, etc) but I don't think there's any of those yet. So I'd be surprised if this is out by 2027.

A Dcu film for Flash, Aquaman and Batman should be in line up too, within the next 3 years. But the last film for those 3 are still recent and Batman 2 is supposedly still happening. I don't feel confident about the structure of DCU if we really have to wait several years for the solo movies of those 4 within DCU.

It is easy to say take their time, not to meet deadlines, but five years from now, people are going to be asking for other major DC superheroes to appear.

This is a cinematic universe. I still don't know why its so important to prioritize a Supergirl movie over Wonder Woman, especially its being released just 1 year after Superman. They could get things done, if they really want to and they obviously chose to do Supergirl before other bigger DC characters with the exception of Superman. Maybe WW84 was a factor, 2021 isn't so long. But still. You can't have a proper DC movie verse without the big guns or else, it would feel like someone is missing.

Because they had a script ready and that everyone speaks highly of.
As simple as that.

When they'll feel bullish on the WW script they'll greenlight that one too.
