Wonder Woman Movie in Development

What comics storylines would you guys want the reboot to be based on? I definitely want more mythological elements - gods and monsters were sorely lacking in the last two movies.

The obvious reference points are the Perez, Jiminez and Rucka runs, still, and while they presumably aren't going to outright do Absolute Wonder Woman, you can definitely take inspiration from that in terms of characterization, etc.

Presumably they're not outright redoing an origin story, based on Gunn's philosophy, but they should make clear this is her clay origin rather than the daughter of Zeus garbage.

I prefer the Demi-god root. It can make Hippolyta and the Amazons story much more interesting if the Themyscira show happend.

Demi god is boring so hope they dont go that route. If that Amazon show happens i hope they take inspiration from Historia in some ways.

How does that make it more interesting? All your doing is rehashing the usual: zeus cheats on hera. Knocks up a woman. Hera wants revenge.

Historia is AMAZING and there's no zeus as daddy involved.

1. This "Hera wants revange at every woman Zeus cheated with" is such a cliche. Let them be in an open marriage and get rid of it.
2. I find WW powers more reasonable as a Demi-god then the made out of clay WW.
3. If WW2017 and WW84(and any film in the DCEU she appeared in) had no connection or mentioning of Hera, so can the new interpretation of the character. Is Hera is one of Hippolyta's worst enemy in WW comics in the demi-god origin?
4. i think it'll be easier exploring WW mythological elements in the demi-god version then the made out of clay origin, And this is something i want to see - More Mythology..
5. I didn't read a lot of WW comics, but i did consume WW related stuff in other media....I'm trying to recall if i ever seen Hera as a character, and... I can't.

WW 17/84 killed off all the gods.

How are WWs powers more reasonable as a demi goddess? She's literally blessed with the powers of 5-6 gods/goddesses.

And how is a demi god origin make it easier to explore mythological elements? Diana is birthed to life by the gods, she's Athenas or Aphrodites champion. It hasn't dampered her exploring mythological elements for the past 85 years?

Majority of your WW content didn't have her as daughter of Zeus.

The very comic that made her daughter of Zeus had Hera as the spiteful wife wanting revenge.

The only major difference is the Daddy Zeus origin gives her a berserker mode again when her bracelets are removed. Her powers all come from Zeus.

Clay her strength her strength equals that of the Earth and she still faced the same threats as she did when she was daugher of zeus.

And BTW... Making Diana a Demi-god doesn't mean her father has to be Zeus(AKA Hera can sleep in peace and Hippolyta can live her life quietly). There are plenty of God/Demigods/etc, in the Greek Mythology. I just hope they'll never make her a Kryptonian.
