So according to this rumor the first movie will be set in 1920's

The second movie will be set around World War 2

And the third in modern day times.

So what do you guys think about this? the 1920's and onward is an iteresting time period for DC to play with.

Also when it comes to world war 2 do you think its possible that we could see the Justice Sosiety of America, The All-Star Squadron, Freedom Fighters, Seven Soldiers of Victory, The Blackhawks and even the Creature Commandos.

obviously i'm not expecting to see all these teams and characters but it would be a shame if DC didn't at least reference the existance of its older characters, even if its just a boxing match on TV featuring WILDCAT (Ted Grant) you know that kind of thing.

Id prefer Shazam be set in that period tbh

I don't have any problem with it being set in the 20's. There were rumors while back that it was an idea that was being thrown around the studio.

Just depends if the story is compelling and fun. It comes down to execution.

I'll believe it when I see it. Period movies are more expensive than contemporary ones, all else being equal, and sticking the Wonder Woman movie almost 100 years before the other DC movies would be a bizarre choice, given the current tone. Its not like they having a running theme of A World of Weirdness to fall back upon.

I don't like it because it will contradict the people's reactions in MOS where Superman was the fist superhuman.

Surely people will have statues of WW or special anniversaries like we have today of any significant people.

If WW was active in 1920s then people would have at least mentioned her when the Kryptonians arrived in MOS.

Wow, the article says she's worked on GoT, Breaking Bad and TWD. That's an impressive portfolio.

And it's an indictment that her break into features comes when a studio has had to position itself to look specifically for a woman. When you think of the number of guys who get a gig after a few glossy ads or a music video, it's a welcome crack in the ceiling.
