David E. Kelley?!

Ill believe it when I see the pilot. Wont be surprised if it gets put in development hell like the movie. Wonder what network it would possibly air on..Fox would kill it and its best bet is on theCW.

Seeing as how obsessed they are with being a chick-based network, I imagine The CW would fight to the death to have this.

This news infuriates me. **** you, DC. :down

I WANT A WONDER WOMAN MOVIE! IS THAT SO HARD? :cmad:

As long as we get half naked women on the show, I'm there!

You cant blame WB/DC for being hesitant. Pretty much every superhero movie with a female lead has failed hard. I'd go with TV too. :o

I don't think Wonder Woman can be compared to the likes of Catwoman or Elektra.

Good point, but still...

I'd actually prefer an animated series as a lead in to a film, but any mainstream exposure to WW isn't such a bad thing.

It should be a spinoff of Smallville. But I know that introducing WW in this last season which has a lot going on already would be tough. Maybe if CW picks it up Welling could guest star and link the shows...provided it actual gets to a pilot.

Then if that happened the already established Women of the DCU from Smallville could appear.
Black Canary
Zatanna
Supergirl

Keep them seperate. Smallville, as much as I enjoy it, would only serve as a weight around it's neck.

They better go with classic WW. If they follow Perez's relaunch of the series they would be in good shape. Give her, her armor skirt and make Atremis her frenemy and good to go.

And I would prefer a tvseries to a movie if Ihad to choose since you may have a lower budget you can do so much more with the charecter. An animated series with her wouldve also been great.

Ugh.

David E. Kelley will turn this into a wacky zany dramedy.

No thanks please.

That's the part that kind of throws me, but maybe he will do something different from his usual schtick.

They should just make a show about Themyscira, it would be like hot chick Island.

That could actually be very effective marketing for the show. A show centering around an island of beautiful scantily clad women. Females will tune in because of the female lead and males will tune in to see hotties.

Nah, she's be a quirky lawyer from Boston.

Yep. I think Power Girl or Marvel's She Hulk would actually be a better fit for David E. Kelley to adapt. Not Wonder Woman.

Hell, She Hulk has even been a snarky lawyer before!

This is pretty disappointing since it suggests there are no plans for a movie in the near future. I would want to see Wonder Woman as having the same sort of scale as the God of War games, and that's just not going to happen on television.

DC cares nothing about anyone but Batman, Superman, and apparently now Green Lantern.

Nobody else is getting a movie anytime soon unless it's animated.

Nobody is getting animated unless its Superman or Batman or now GL.

But atleast getting a WW tv show is better than getting no movie at all. Might as well not keep her under lock and key for a movie that most likely never happen. And even if it does happen they can have both the movie and show at the same time ala Smallville/Superman Returns.

You dont know that. ****, things just got serious for GL, so before that people were just saying that Warner Bros. just cares about Batman and Superman. The movies will get made when they get made and then people will see just how much they "care". Now, admittedly, they are shooting themselves in the foot by going the live action series route instead of film, but DC Entertainment is just getting their stuff together after Warner Bros. have had their thumbs up their asses regarding DC stuff for God knows how long.

Sorry.

I have no faith in DC to do anything right, they've shown they don't even want to adapt Green Lantern right. The cast is awful for that movie with the exception of Mark Strong as Sinestro.
