...why would you do that unless you couldn't get more hours at the one you already have?

Depends on what you do.A lot of union jobs have a cap on the ammount of hours you can work moonlighting.
On the other side-Non union jobs like Starbucks in particular do everything they can so that you wont work over 40 hours a week.

i work 2 jobs because I need money.

the reason I have the second job is that my main job store closes at 700, and my night job doesn't open til 730 so I can go from one to the other without hitch.

    yeah i really do.

i was paying my parents bills for a while (they owe me about 2 grand) and I was taking care of everyone else instead of me.

I got about a grand in medical bills to pay, my other bills, and I'm trying to get a car this year.

I just got a .61 raise so I'm hoping that will help a lot.

I own GameFaqs, so I can't sue myself silly.

And my topics are not inane...half the **** on this main page are really boring and exceed 2 pages...so they're been filled with the same **** x10.

The GFaqs polls right now are very game related, which would be off topic here.

    Does that answer your question?

I was in the same situation back in 2005. I worked two jobs. One, I was managing a Cigar Store, making decent money and working 35-40 Hours a week. The Other Job I was Loss Prevention at a Big Department Store, 30-35 Hours a week. I was making fair money at that one. I loved it because I was getting paid twice a week. At the time, I was only paying $250 in rent a month because I had roommates. I used to roll in the cash.

I was working 2 jobs while going to school full time back in the day. It was hell...but what's a starving college student to do?

Well, I used to be able to save it up really well, but I Bought a New Chevy Truck, and moved to Florida. And it is alot more expensive here than Ohio, so pretty much it's all gone. But, I got out of debt, and live well here.

perhaps one job is more finacially rewarding while the other one is more of a hobby

or maybe you wish to make a transfer of professions but have responsibilities and don't want to get the reduction of payment.

every once in a while i'll get a second job to save up for a trip, but constantly working 2 jobs would make me loopy. I'd love to just work more hours at job #1 but the office is only open 8-5 so that kinda nips that, and since its corperate they are pretty frowny on overtime
