Working on Thanksgiving?

They're saying about half the office will be gone, so if we want it off, to request it today. I may just go in because there will be no one really here, and I can just kick my ass back and goof off..using their resources for my every whim.

This is the first time in 4 years that I have Thanksgiving off. I was the Outlet Manager at a hotel and we had huge Brunches (700-800 ppl) every major holiday. I don't miss that at all.

Ah, the joy of an office job, Thursday and Friday off, probably get out around noon or 2pm Wednesday.

I may have to work on Thanksgiving, because Walgreens is open on holidays.

When I was in high school and had a part-time job at a movie theater, I would request to work on Thanksgiving and Christmas so I didn't have to see my entire family. Now that I don't have a job anymore and I'm just a full time student, I have to see them on those days. The holidays suck.

I work every Holiday, because Holidays are meaningless to me.
It rocks ass, they feel so guilty about making me work on this "Holiday", that they pay me time and a half to do one tenth the work('cause it's totally dead because everyone goes out of town and everything's shut down) ?...even though I wouldn't be observing any Holiday bulls*** anyway?

I love it.


I feel thankful when I feel thankful, not on some arbitrary day dictated by someone who died centuries ago.

And what else do we have?
Bland, Brown, Heavy foods....and a bunch of family members that I never asked to be associated with, who I'd never hang out with if given the choice.
