You only got one pick. What is the single worst Marvel film to date?

I think Ghost Rider Spirit Of Vengeance or Howard The Duck.

XO:W or Elektra, Punisher:War Zone is pretty much the same level but had at least interesting artistic choices

This is how i rank them.

The Terrible:

Elektra
Fantastic Four
Iron Man 3
Ghost Rider
Ghost Rider 2
Pinisher War Zone

The Bad:

Spider-Man 3
Fantastic Four 2
Iron Man 2
The Incredible Hulk
The Punisher
Blade Trinity
Avengers
X-Men 3
Daredevil
X-Men Origins Wolverine

The Good:

The Wolverine
Spider-Man
Blade
Blade 2
HULK
Captain America: The First Avenger
X-Men
The Amazing Spider-Man
Thor

The Great:

Spider-Man 2
X2: X-Men United

It makes the Tim Story version look Oscar-worthy.

I remember seeing the trailer for that film before Carnisaur on VHS, when I was in 2ns grade, young enough to be excited for it. Haha. The Fantastic Four films we got aren't as bad as most people think, they just dropped the ball on the villains and some characterizations. They are Marvel's First Family so I don't mind the movies being a little lighter than most other Marvel films. There's a few scenes that make each F4 worth your time.

Elektra on the other hand, put me to sleep. Can't think of one single redeeming quality. Any MCU film being on the same list with this pitiful attempt at adapting Elektra is laughable.

I have not seen Punisher: War Zone. I have seen Howard the Duck but that was in maybe 1st grade, can't recall it but I've no reason to think the negative feedback it gets is wrong.

Ghost Rider: Spirit of Vengeance!

I hated watching it! It was just bloody noisy!

I accidentally saw a bit of Howard the Duck on HBO the other day. It was ghastly. I'm shocked that Lea Thompson ever got work after that. HTD was a fun comic book until Steve Gerber lost the plot, but it should never have been made into a movie. One could say that about a lot of comic books-turned-movies, though.

I've been pretty good at avoiding the bad ones, though I have seen Ghost Rider and I must say that's one of the worst films I've seen in general.

Assuming we only count modern ones. . . I'd say Fantastic Four 2. Sure, in terms of production value, its probably better than some, but the actual content makes up for it. Makes the first movie seem like high art.

In my book, it's close between:
Elektra (BEYOND terrible, a complete mess of a movie from top to bottom)
Blade: Trinity (high hopes, great potential, but the studio got too involved and made it a Ryan Reynolds movie instead of a Blade movie)
Spider-Man 3 (gave us what we wanted by putting Venom in a movie, but screwed that up, tried to do too much, did it all wrong, and even changed the most essential moment in the hero's life)

I REALLY can't decide. I just hate them all so much...

That's tough, even though you want 1, I can't decide between the first Hulk movie, Elektra, Daredevil, or either Ghost Rider movies. There were to many bad movies for me to name just one.

This depends on your definition of bad. GR: SOV and HTD are just "bad" movies. However, if your talking about most DISAPPOINTNG movie, then Spider Man 3, X-Men: TLS, and Bade Trinity take the cake. All of them had potential, but that potential was squandered.

Spider-Man 3
Blade Trinity
Ghost Rider
Ang Lee's Hulk
X-Men: The Last Stand
X-Men Origins: Wolverine
Craptastic Four 1&2
Punisher: Snore Zone
The Punisher (Dolph Lundgren)
The Punisher (Thomas Jane)
The next time the make a Punisher movie (Why can't they get this goddamned character right?! He's an ordinary man with military training who kills bad guys! How do you manage to screw THAT up three times?!)

I haven't seen Ghost Rider: SOV and Elektra, but I'm sure they're both abysmal too.

They didn't. They got it perfectly fine with Thomas Jane.

The only problem with that movie was Travolta and the annoying neighbours (other than Rebecca)

I'd have to say the Spider-Man 1977 movie, which makes movies like Elektra and Ghost Rider: SOV look like high art in comparison.

Unless we're counting the unsanctioned, but still Marvel-centric, 3 Dev Adam. In which case, that one wins hands down.
