Naw, you pass out from smoke inhalation way before actually burning to death if you're in a fire. When it comes to pain I'd have to say drowning in deep water while diving or something is the worst; you don't actually feel your death, but that's because you've already passed out from the pain of having your eardrums explode.

Bleeding to death is probably psychologically the worst though, as it takes a while.

I wouldn't be scared to drown, strangely enough. For me, still, having the throat slit is the worst. Not just for the pain, but for the realization that death is imminent, as you slowly bleed and choke for air only to hear your own horrifying gurgling.

I avoided reading the article, because from the posts I've read here. it sounds rather sick. That being said, I personally believe the absolute worst way to die is...without Christ. No mortal method of torture or death can possibly measure up to an eternity of spiritual torment.

Not if one considers the possibility of him being paralyzed while the animals started to feast on him. That is like being burned alive...but with insects and reptiles replacing the flames and going at a far slower pace.

Not if one considers the possibility of him being paralyzed while the animals started to feast on him. That is like being burned alive...but with insects and reptiles replacing the flames and going at a far slower pace.

Honestly though, if he's suffering from the effects of the spider venom, paralyzed, untreated, not eating anything, he's not going to survive very long anyway. It's not as if he's there, conscious, for days being eaten by the creatures. He was probably dead by the end of the first day or something.

You're...you're not serious, are you? That's actually the primary function of spider venom. Of course, most organisms die from the neurotoxin (key word, there), but there's an advantage to keeping prey alive and paralyzed: they can be, "stored," for later consumption.

Chances are, however, the guy died from the venomous bite. You see, humans generally only die from black widow bites due to some extreme reaction. The usual reaction is nausea, and severe flu-like and neurological symptoms. You almost need to have an allergy to actually die from the bite, unless you delay medical attention.

This guy had one of those severe reactions, and likely died directly from the bite itself.
