it's just a name plaque, there was an episode of raw where Edge gave Cena his name plaque when he won the spinner belt off him.

on the crappy spinner belt ye its seperate but i thought on the heavyweight belt it was part of the whole thing?

i could very easily be wrong though

Disappointed with the SD results. Thought Christian was finally gonna get a decent run with the WHC.

SD! doesn't need an Orton run unless it's a heel turn. Not much for him to do. If they aren't going to let Christian be the top face then it's just a waste of time.

I can really understand why Punk is on the fence about re-signing...No room for anyone to get to the Main Event that isn't a WWE factory made star.

I seriously think Orton will be turning heel. That little promo he cut that probably won't be shown on TV still sounds very heelish. I mean, why have him say it at all if it isn't going to mean something?

Sure, Christian could turn heel here... but I don't see that happening. I really see them wanting to push Christian to be Edge's replacement. I mean this could be motivation for him to turn heel but seriously, we just went how many matches seeing Orton dominate Punk... we don't need to see him do the same to Christian.

Turn him heel and allow him to bring back his Legend Killer style gimmick.... Maybe not facing Legends every week or whatever, just the attitude he had then. That attitude is about ten times better then his stupid "Crazy Viper Orton" thing he's doing now.

As for R-Truth, I really hope they allow him to go by Ron "The Truth" Killings... sounds more heelish to me.

I wouldn't blame him for a second if he didn't re-sign for pretty much that exact reason.

Dave Scherer, owner of www.PWInsider.com really went off on a rant on WWE and TNA for their recent Smackdown and Impact tapings on his hotline today.

I completely agreed with everything he said. WWE continues to shoot itself in the foot when it comes to pushing new talent. TNA continues to go down a path that may end their company and show that they don't care about bringing people into their company who have serious drug and alcohol problems.

By now, I'm convinced that TNA has a reverse-drug policy. Like you must have a past or current drug problem for them to hire you.

At some point someone is going to die on TNA's watch and they'll find themselves and some really negative spotlight.

Of course given how TNA operates these days they'd probably say "There ain't no such thing as bad publicity"

TNA is like Bizarro wrestling. I'm thinking people in creative have a drug problem with their crackhead booking. Who's the champ again? And why should we care?

At the age they have guys wrestling someone might die in the middle of the ring.

I will say the one thing TNA does good right now is they make their World title important and write it as such that everyone is fighting to be world champion. But that doesn't mean the actual storylines are any good

Yeah. Punk has worked hard for five years...to do what? Have his few title runs cut short. Stall in the mid-card. The only reason people come to WWE is to become WWE Champion someday.

It really serves him no purpose to continue there if he's not going to get a ME match for the belt any time soon. I mean, Punk is over, the best heel there and WWE just WASTES him.

I have a feeling I'll also be saying this again when Del Rio is fed to SuperCena and jobbed out endlessly. That's what it looks like things are going.

Meanwhile, Dana White is laughing his ass off, excited at the fact that the WWE is losing a lot of their older fans for his product, which continues to grow.

The thing with Punk is he could be an excellent face as well... I mean, his Straight Edge life style could be used to help kids stay off of drugs, cigs, alcohol, ect.

As for TNA... I really can't set through that show anymore. I tried for a long time, but it's just gotten SO bad SO quick that I wouldn't be surprised if they end up out of business before to long.

Part of me feels bad for Sting, I mean... he could have signed with the WWE now (since, it's a PG company) got inducted to the HoF, maybe put on a Icon vs Phenom match with Taker and then just collect a nice check due to the Legends contract (ala Kevin Nash.)

Also, is TNA bringing Jeff Hardy back? I read rumors of a Jeff Hardy "trailer" airing at an iMPACT taping or something... Are they seriously that stupid?

I know I'm alone here but I can not get into UFC... I just can't. I'm also probably alone in thinking that it's a bit scripted...

I know, now everyone think's I'm crazy... but still..

I don't think it's scripted, but I always think how fantastic it would be if it ever got out that it was 'fake' like wrestlin, and just see all the fan's faces.

Also, I can't help but enjoy the inherent hypocrisy of some of the martial artists, going twenty five minutes slugging it out with each other, killing each other, which goes against most of the ethics of many martial arts. That's just my two cents.

I hate this news. I really do.

I don't even think that Christian is really a long term main event kind of guy, but throw him a freaking bone at least. This pisses me off, and I like Orton.

It's sad as a die-hard Sting fan to see him spending what could be his last year or two in the business in a company that is just completely lost.

The Jeff Hardy trailer was nothing more than to use up the time they are alloted on the air with their international deals. Mike Johnson reported recently that there had been no talks to bring Jeff Hardy back in the near future.

You are definitely wrong in thinking it's scripted. Many of the fighters try to "hype" the fights to increase the buys and promote their image, but that's the closest to fake as you'll get with the UFC.

Eh, it's not that I'm 100% convinced it's fake... it just seems a bit more drama filled now then what I remember, back when it was a bit more undergound. Then again, most professional sports are drama filled.

I guess it's just the hardcore "You still watch wrestling!? That stuffs gay man!!!" fanbase that really gets to me... To the point where, like it was said, I'd LOVE for it to get out that some things are scripted just to see those fans faces.

I guess there's always hope that Sting WILL sign a Legends contract and get inducted into the HoF in the next few years. I mean, I totally expected this years HoF to be WCW themed as I'm sure others did as well.

Sting is every bit an icon (no pun intended) to the wrestling business as Taker, Flair or Hogan so he deserves to be in the HoF. I'd also throw money at Vince if he gave me a Taker vs Sting match at Mania. Yes, Taker is broke and sting is "old" but it would be on match that I wouldn't be watching based on "sweet ring skillz!"

Taker and Sting could both be wrestling in wheel chairs and it would be far more entertaining and believable than JR vs Michael Cole... or anything else Cole related.

After what happened to Christian Sting would have been a fool to risk going to WWE without total creative control over his character. And Vince wouldn't have given him that or he would have ignored it.

Vinnie Mac doesn't give a crap what the fans want. And many people wanted to see Christian have at least one meaningful reign.

there wasn't even a buildup to Orton vs Christian! They could have at least waited a week and promoted it to get Smackdown a better rating.

They do this kind of stuff and they wonder why ratings are stagnant and they have to rely on people that have been retired for the better part of a decade to draw a damn buyrate.

The UFC has a totally different schedule than WWE. The WWE spends 300 days a year on the road. UFC fighters will have (at most) three fights a year.

And thats why it seems like more and more people are going that route than pro wrestling. MMA wrecks you physically but you get more than enough time off to recover. And you get a LEGIT chance to make it to the top if you are good not just because someone likes you for whatever reason.

I read what Brock reportedly made in UFC last year. He'd be a damn fool to go back to WWE and risk that now. Once his UFC career is over Vince happily take him back anyway if he ever decides to go back to WWE...cause we all know Vince gets wood when he hires people who are famous outside of WWE.

Dana White could deal a serious blow to WWE and TNA if he wanted to. Without even tying he's already eating into their success. Part of me wishes he would take it to them so maybe they'd wake the f*** up and actually try to put on more good programming.

I honestly can't wait for Triple H and Stephanie to run the show. I remember at one point people worrying about Stephanie taking over the company but now... I think SHE cares more about the wrestling business than Vince.

I read an interview with Triple H in PWI while in Wal-Mart a month or so ago and they asked him what he'd do if he ever ran the company. He said "First things first, just because you're last name is or at one time was McMahon doesn't mean you'll be running the company..." he then went on to say "However, one thing I would do is bring wrestling back to the forfront. The company is World Wrestling Entertainment after all." He also said he's a "wrestler" not a "Superstar."

I've read reports that Triple H has more fans backstage now than he ever had when he wrestled full time due to the guys in the back knowing how Triple H feels about the business as a whole.

I've always been a Triple H fan, politics or not he cares about the business as a whole and I honestly think he'd be smart enough to turn the company around. Not that it sucks now... it just doesn't cater to the pro wrestling fan. I get wanting to appeal to kids... but they also need to appeal to the wrestling fan.
