His health is far more important but this is a very sad day. :csad:

I love The Undertaker. One of my all time favorites, but it's been past time for him to ride off into the sunset. Right now the only reason to keep wrestling is to extend the streak to 20-0. If he can make it that's fine, but I'd rather see him walk at this point. I don't want to hear about him holding on too long and being put in a wheelchair or something.

That picture reminds me of Billy and Chuck.

I hope Taker puts someone over next year. If both The Rock and Taker put someone over along with Mysterio putting Cara over WM28 could be seen as the step of the legacy of the WWE.

How serious is it?
After an MRI confirmed the diagnosis, Morrison was treated by Dr. Joseph Moroon, a renowned neurosurgeon and medical director of WWE. In a procedure to alleviate pain and weakness in his arm, Dr. Moroon created a small incision in the back of Morrison’s neck and moved the bone as well as the C5 and C6 discs from around the nerve route.
“This is considered minimally invasive surgery,” said Dr. Christopher Amann, WWE’s senior ringside physician. “Unlike other procedures, such as those undergone by John Cena and Edge, the typical recovery time is four to six weeks.”

I knew they had a real bromance but jeez... :whatever:

And to think, Vince originally didn't want her. The fans just wanna see some divas get put in their place.

Most of the divas are cookie cutter jokes. Barbies. And the fans know it. Combine that with the fact that WWE has encouraged people to pop when women get beat to hell in the past and its easy to see who the audience cheers Kong destroying the other women.

Hopefully this will be a wake up call to Vince. Women probably won't ever be THE draw but when theres a better balance between some used as serious competitors and some as eye candy people will take them seriously.

The women can't even be used as proper eye candy these days. Just how far can WWE even push the sex appeal in the PG era? I remember one Raw where they had the girls out there in one piece bikinis! I just don't see the point in emphasizing attractive women over real competitors when they can't even showcase their sex appeal very much.

If people want to look at hot girls they can get on the internet and look at porn. For the last few years the Divas have really been nothing more than a PC appeasement and way to keep the boys happy on the road....which is sad because some of them are talented.

The problem with that is the same problem they had with Chyna. They banked on the fact that Chyna was big enough to fight men and made that her gimmick. The problem was, NOBODY in the main event wanted to loose to a woman, and Vince knew that a loss to a woman would hurt anyones credibility. Only midcard guys in the "Burial phase" (Jarrett, Jericho) did the job. You can't push a woman that fights men, especially if Vince isn't behind it.

The only time a man has ever faced a woman that resulted in anything entertaining was Beulah VS Bill Afonso. That was awesome.

I see what you were saying. In hindsight Jericho vs Chyna certainly isn't seen as one of the highpoints in Jericho's career. Man vs woman bouts are always tricky because either the man is goign to end up looking like a heel if he beats up a girl (unless the girl is a b***...but even then its not exactly a difficult fight for a man) or the man will look like a joke if he looses. Its really a lose-lose for the man involved.

At best the STRONGEST woman in a wrestling company is usually going to be the equal of an average sized to large sized male wrestler but the fact that its a woman is still highlighted. If he beats her...he beat a woman. So what? That never really makes the man look "tougher."

The only reason Alfonso vs Beulah worked was because neither one were wrestlers so it was pretty even and it was really just a nasty looking brawl where Fonzy bled buckets. If anything Fonzy looked like a limp wristed goof that was weaker than even your average guy. It was good for a laugh and cheer. Thats why that worked.

He's rode longer and harder than anyone. Theres no shame in him hanging up the hat and coat now. Like Mr Wonderful said there IS life after wrestling. I know it'll be a difficult transition for Taker because he loves it so much but he should think about his long term future health.

It'll be the end of an era for the business though. He's one of the last territory era guys and basically the last regularly active Hogan era wrestler in WWE

I had a feeling with the way HHH vs Taker II ended that we wouldn't see him for a LONG time. He should just come back for WM28 and call it a career as a wrestler. I hope HHH isn't the one to end the streak though.

I suppose he could still appear and not wrestle from time to time as a special treat for the fans. The interesting thing about his gimmick is that in his gear and in the shadows when he's just standing there age doesn't make him look bad like it does most other wrestlers. If anything a few lines on his face adds to that dark scary look.

I think the WWE is doing a good job with her so far. She is certainly not a WWE creation and so far they haven't punished her for that. People are reacting to her as if she's a star because she is but also because WWE is treating her like one. She's been given videos to hype her up, a good theme, a name that while isn't great isn't anywhere near as ridiculous as you'd expect from them. I hope they keep it up.

Hopefully that continues and they don't drop the ball later ala Vader and ECW. Started off strong but by the end they both went out in a fizzle.

Not bad.Means they can build up R-truth then have a big PPV match between the two at the June PPV.

Now that Tough Enough is back this week, it reminded me of this tidbit I found last week about Mr. Cocky, Luke:

-- Tough Enough contestant Luke Robinson is featured on a gay oriented wrestling website called BG East Wrestling. According to the website's description, it features "gay oriented wrestling videos and DVDs."

The website contains adult-oriented subject matter and is intended to be viewed by people 21 years of age or older.

Now that's just funny.

She seems too powder puff to me and WWE already has enough divas like that. She's decent in the ring compared to the other girls in the competition but sh** she should be. She's a glorified ringer! She already had a developmental contract with WWE.

Ivelisse has more more of a serious attitude but I'm not sure her body can take it. She's small AND she's hurt.

I didn't know that. Ivelisse looks familiar though. Wasn't she on NXT a while back.

I personally like Ivelisse more as well, and she certainly seemed more serious and had more spunk before she was injured.

Christina is definitely powder puff and near a carbon copy of her sister.

Damn Eric...that was embarrassing. I think he might be gone tonight.

Who is her sister?

Alicia Fox and damn that was bad for Eric.

I heard it's a double elimination so Eric is likely and then Ivelisse might quit. Should be interesting tonight.

At least he didn't quit. His no quit attitude may give him a future one day, but not on Tough Enough.

I like Eric and and am rooting for him a little because he's got sort of an underdog story but physically all the guy has going for him is his size. Even for a big man he has very little natural athleticism to speak of. He just doesn't have the coordination.

that was cool how they got the four on the top ropes and had THE biggest guys in the competition running the ropes. That must have made it really hard to stay up there.
