Let's use this thread to write teasers, trailers, TV Spots and everything else for the upcoming Green Lantern movie to debut in December 2010!

For the Teaser-Trailer, I would use Pipe's monologue from the first Draft of the Script, intercut with quick scenes, from 5/6 seconds. Here's it:

. Warner Brothers logo. In green.

. Legendary Pictures logo. In green.

. DC Comics logo. In green.

. Fade in: Black Screen. We hear a steady, male voice-over: "We are not alone in the universe". The Voice-Over is accompanied by a ritimic music that growns slowly, into it's climax, on the trailer's finale.

. Quick shots of the Universe.

. Voice-Over: "For years now, we've know of a group of extraterrestrial that patrol the universe."

. Quick shots of Kilowog, Tomar-Re, Salaak and Sinestro.

. "And keep it safe".

. Quick shots of the Green Lanterns flying in Space, wielding their power rings.

. "We don't where they came from".

. Quick external shot of Oa.

. "Or where they get their power".

. Quick shot of the Central Power Battery, sparking with power.[/I]

. "But we know this much: They're good."

. Quick shots of the Green Lanterns showcasing their powers.

. "And they protect us".

. "Has joined them.".

. Quick shot of Hal, in civilizan clothes, looking at the ring in his hand.

. "Taking up arms agains the forces of evil."

. Quick shot of several TVs talking about Green Lantern's heroic feats.

. "Here...".

. Quick shot of Hector Hammond, in a classy tuxedo, looking angrily at the screen.

. "... And everywhere.".

. Quick shot of Legion attacking the camere with one of it's tentacles.[/I]

. "One of us...". As we see Hal Jordan looking at the dying Abin Sur, offering him the ring.

. "Now..." as we see the ring flying in front of Hal.

. "One of them". As the ring enters his finger. Sparkling.

. "A Green Lantern". As the Ring explodes in light, engulfing Hal in green flames. We can almost see his uniform being "made". Fade to black.

. "GREEN LANTERN" appears on the screen.

. Quick shot of Hal, wearing his full Green Lantern costume, flying in to the stars

. "DECEMBER 2010". Appears on the Screen.

My teaser trailer would be some quick cuts with a shortened version of the oath

In brightest day

a wide shot of a large group and everyone looking up, smiling, and happy; focus on a little boy looking up and enjoying the air show

(V.O) continued

In blackest night

A very quick glimpse of the GL corps getting owned we don't see Legion, though, and a plane on fire on the verge of crashing into the crowd

(V.O) concluded

No Evil shall escape my sight

A shot of a still normal looking Hammond in a lab looking at something we can't see

Hal, his fist clenched, and the ring glows as his clothes transform to the GL uniform


We see the GL logo, and coming Dec 2010

Sold. This reminds me that they'll need someone with a decent voice.
