You just showed us that you are willing to ride off an entire religion as a cult, yet you criticized another poster for saying the same thing about Christianity. In fact, he even posted a piece of scripture which supported his view, and actually added to the argument-- yet you criticized him for knocking other's beliefs, and even called him a "stupid ass."

So, you have essentially proven yourself to have a double-standard about this and you had no business criticizing Wilhelm when you yourself hold such narrow views on different religions.

I didn't knock on anyone's belief.
There are lots of Gods, but the only present day God I know of who commanded his followers to kill their children if they disobey, is the God of the Bible, so I simply quoted the verse where God commanded his followers to kill their children if they disobey, because it's a common thread between Christianity and whatever sect was mentioned in this story.
I didn't make it up. It's a word-for-word quote from the Bible, "God's Word".

Lots of "crimes" have been committed by fundamentalist Christians who adhere more closely to their God's teachings than the majority, such as when they let their children die of treatable diseases deciding instead to pray for their children and anoint them with oil as the Bible suggests.....or Christians that believe God wants his followers to be polygamists, or the few Christians who have felt that killing abortionists or homosexuals is called for by their God, etc.


The things people do in the name of God are far more unpleasant than I am.

You are willing to call others on ridiculing other peoples' beliefs, yet you're willing to ignore others who do the exact same thing to Scientologists.

I mean, so what if someone thinks Christianity is a cult? You have no problem with riding off Scientology as a cult, so you shouldn't be criticizing others for doing the same thing you're doing.

That's a double-standard, it sort of makes you a hypocrite by definition

Because I don't see it. The center of your argument is that he shouldn't knock on peoples' beliefs. It makes him an unpleasant ass for doing such.

See, had you said "I have a problem with you making fun of Super Kal," I could have fully understood what you said and I wouldn't have said a thing.

Instead, you worded it as such to completely leave Super Kal out of the post.

So, what is it? You have a problem with people knocking on others' beliefs, or you dislike Wilhelm's criticism of Super Kal?
