Didn't they already do something kinda like this a few years back?

Marvel's been throwing out teaser images of most their past crossover events and memorable moments from the past over the last month. This is just another. I don't think this or any of them is about a new book or rehash of said story.

I think the idea is there's going to be some new comic to tie in to Secret Wars. All I know is that I will read the hell out of this, and repeatedly hum the theme song to the old cartoon show while doing it.

It's intriguing, but more info is needed for it mean anything.

You mean this?

Definitely looks like homage to that show, that theme was the first thing to come to mind entering this thread.

Great art there. Loved the show when it was on. All these teaser are making me hope they are for various multiverse spin-off titles. I'd love an update on a lot of those stories, especially this one.

Some of these daily teasers are turning out to make me really excited on the inside. Marvel is doing some of it right, this is one of those I'm really looking forward to!

Ok, now this I can get down with IF it's actually a new book. Like Havok said, no way all these teasers will amount to anything tangible.

At best, Marvel may put all the books on hiatus and have them temporarily replaced for a month or two with alternate reality/What If one shots/minis. Kind of like what was done with the Minus 1s in the late 90s or AoA

I've always loved that lineup, except for Jubilee. :p

Someone joked that Jean fainted before they could take the picture LOL

So...how soon do we get a Spider-Man '67 or '94 next?

That art looks fantastic (except for Wolverine's face). I'd read this book based on the art and the line up alone.

:pal:
Then this starts at season 1.
So...how soon do we get a Spider-Man '67 or '94 next?
94 has a few adaptions.
Spectacular Spider-Man UK being the high note.

If they got a good McFarlane mimic artist I'd read it :)
As long as the faces are better looking.
Admittedly, I'm glad the 90s cartoon did not use McFarlane for inspiration, he drew Spidey in some very awkward positions.

Spider-Man sucked in 94.
When he's around a guest star, or hugged by Kingpin...
67 version is worse, everyone is able to punch him, and Billy Connors saved his life once.

Oh wait, you guys are talking about the cartoon? That's different....my mistake. The comics were s**t in 94.

Yeah, the cartoon. What was going on in the comic then? Was it Parker clone or something?

Yeah it was the start of The Clone Saga although the books had been on a downward slide for some time.
