Movie or TV series. Take it or leave it.

I imagine there's a chance this could show up on FX as well.

got soo excited with bleeding cool article, like too excited, and was almost praising it was New mutants, with a young cast as students, with more than likely cameos by the adult X-Men, as teachers and all of that.

But reading now it could be X-Factor, while still nice, doesnt feel as exciting to me compared to first option. Of course, its still great news and I'll watch it

I think this shows Kinberg wasn't talking out of his mouth when he mentioned this.

This opens door that fox can do a X-Men/FF film despite some assuming they can't.

They can it's just nobody wants that X-Men/FF crossover now. Let them focus on X-Men.

Nothing confirmed yet. But yeah it's pretty awesome. Everything fans have been saying for awhile seems to be actually happening now.

just imagine how cool it would be to see the likes of Patrick Stewart as a guest on a few episodes, James Marsden as the big guest on another one, and the cheaper actors doing cameos too, like Adan Canto, Shawn and the like.

Not to mention a New mutants show could connect to XForce movie perfectly, with a few show stars joining Xforce. sounds like golden material to me

I will be impressed if this goes through. And is good. (has night terror about Gen X TV movie)

If the team had Polaris and Havok that would be pretty friggen awesome.

TV's changed quite a bit. As has the comic scene.

X-Factor would be PERFECT for an ongoing television show. I hope they put this on FX rather than Fox.

I hope it has good writers! Heroes Season 1, for example, was great at bringing the ensemble, superpowered cast together, but they lost their writers too soon and it went downhill fast.

If they're not saving them for future films, I'd like to see Magma played by a Brazilian or Greek/Italian actress (her background's a bit strange):

and Northstar!!

hmm this is smart on Fox's behalf...DC has 3 series airing (Supergirl in pre-production) Marvel is killing it, so I why not Fox chip as well. I think X-Factor TV series would like a test to see if a live action film will sell to the general public in the near future. For now I think they may go with characters that probably won't require extensive CGI & save those characters for a film

Isn't Shawn doing The Following which is also on Fox? Same with Adan Canto. Hell, Kevin Bacon is there too so we could get some offhand reference to Sebastian Shaw and the Hellfire Club if they were so inclined.

I feel like I watched some pre-DOFP interview with Patrick and Ian where they both said they were interested in TV (or more specifically, Netflix and the possibilities that the medium offers after stuff like House of Cards and Orange is the New Black). I think we could definitely see some actors pop up occasionally. Hell, if Agents of Shield can get Samuel L. Jackson twice, then I think Fox could get Patrick Stewart or someone of the sorts.

I hope they do connect with the filmverse which means that they could pop up in a film or two down the line if this show comes to fruition.

I don't know what the terms were but it looks like Fox negotiated for exclusive X-Men TV rights since Marvel couldn't do anything with them anyway. I'm guessing that's how Quicksilver and Skrulls got shared (hopefully also Brood and Shi'Ar) and Ronan returned to Marvel.

And X-Factor is a great way for Fox to get a stranglehold on Jennifer Lawrence's schedule since a Mystique solo film would be a terrible idea but Mystique leading her own team on a TV show where audiences can tune in to see Jennifer Lawrence every week? That's something I'd watch.

Also, I really hope this is the lineup Fox uses (Havok and Quicksilver sadly can't be part of it due to timeline issues unless, I mean until they use time travel in season 2): Val Cooper as a government liason, Mystique as the leader and Strong Guy, Layla Miller, Rictor, Shatterstar, Polaris, Forge and Multiple Man. Much like Havok and Quicksilver. The only time travel I'd do in season 1 would be explaining Shatterstar by having the team head back to the 80s where they encounter Dazzler and Longshot and go to Mojoworld.

Then I'd put some of the XSE guys in Season 2 as well. Namely Bishop but there would be some appearances by Shard, Archer and Greystone.

I'd avoid Siryn since she should be used for X-Force and Deadpool movies and I'd also leave Wolfsbane on the cutting room floor so she can be in New Mutants.

As far as tone/plot. Think The X-Files with elements of Strike Back and Gary: Tank Commander. And villains who will never appear in the films since they're far too obscure like Armageddon Man and Children of the Vault.

And X-Factor should also replace SHIELD if Fox ever wants to do Wolverine: Enemy of the State as a movie (which they should do). And if that gets made, I'd also swap out Gorgon and The Hand for Donald Pierce and The Reavers.

Also, I'd like to see Alpha Flight and New Mutants TV shows down the line. Alpha Flight since it's obscure. New Mutants since it's good for prime time network TV.

And air X-Factor on FX. That station needs another big hit show. Put New Mutants on broadcast Fox and use Alpha Flight to sell FXX.

X-Men, Wolverine, Deadpool and X-Force all deserve the big screen treatment. They wouldn't work as well on TV.

While it would definitely be a draw, there's no way Jennifer Lawrence is going to do a weekly television show at this stage of her career.

Oh god I love the idea of an xmen series especially based on xfactor.

They can't call it that though because of that other xfactor.

As for stars, I don't think we'll see many of them. Maybe shawn Ashmore or whatever?

Not if she gets top billing and tons of money.

So Fox has the live-action television rights after all. Their TV network is not doing that well right now with the ratings so they probably need a show like this. I'm mixed on this idea. The good thing are more X-Men material and it might feature things that we won't ever seen in film. Its also a big plus while waiting for the films, you have more X-Men stuff that is connected to the film series to watch to and us fans would get new episode for weeks/months, that is so exciting! But I'm worried about is the quality, like who's gonna develop this, who are the writing/directing team? Also it might oversaturate the series. I do hope if it happens, it will be a 13 episode mini series. If it succeeds, instead of doing a second season, create a different mini-series.

Don't see why. If they can make Gotham they should be able to make X-Men, but I get mixed up with all those details.

Gotham isn't even made by Fox. Its still under Warner Brothers' wing, while FOX is just airing it on their network. Just like with Modern Family, its made by FOX but they are airing it on ABC.
They can call it something else. The investigation aspect of that book lends itself to TV. They can make it like a mutant Fringe.

Yeah X-Factor Investigation seems like the best idea for a spin-off, if they aren't gonna feature the characters/actors from the movies.

Yeah, going the younger student route would also be a good choice. Lot of options.

They have a lot of options. Actually they could make a New Mutants show focusing on younger X-Men that we haven't seen in films yet, though I don't know if the actors from the movies would be available. Obviously Patrick Stewart has to be there and I don't think he won't mind being a regular in a TV show again. But James/Halle/Famke/Shawn, they all have their own TV shows right now... so getting them for a guest role could be hard. Though I could Anna Paquin saying yes since True Blood is already done. Daniel Cudmore seems very likely to appear. Though I don't know if Hugh/Ellen would want to do a TV show even if its just for a guest appearance.

I hope the X-Factor investigations show is true. So Wolfsbane/Strong Guy/Multiple Man/M and another mutant maybe Cypher, that would be my line-up. I'll stick Polaris and Havok to the movies

If this is real, I am happy as *****. I never read x-factor, so I guess this is a perfect motivation to start reading the series.

You should definitely pick it up. A sales increase would be nice for the series. It's hurting right now, but a pretty solid book.

So Fox had no money invested in the show at all? I wonder why that happens. You'd think the CW would want Gotham.

Regardless, there should no issues since those shows won't be competing. Airing on the same channel as an X-Men show is hardly anything to dispute about for WB. If anything it will grab more of the comic fan base.

I don't know. I guess Fox gets money from the advertisers and WB/FOX share profits from that, but I don't think FOX actually gives WB money for production because if thats the case, then it would be a co-production.

Also, Fox has more viewers/better demographic ratings than CW, so that must have been factor why WB decided to shop the show to Fox.

Which is why I'm kinda surprised it didn't go to CW. WB could use those ratings boost. Anything Batman usually sells in general.

But yeah, your probably right and they wanted a different demo then Arrow and their other shows. I have not kept up with Gotham or the CW too much, so don't really know what's going on there.
