Comics X-Men/Spider-Man #1

Anybody pick this up? I thought it was GREAT. Lots of interaction between the teenaged X-men, and Peter's supporting cast.

I loved it...

It's one of those rare mini-series that I'm going to read when it comes out (I usually wait until I get them all).

Very reminiscent of the Spidey/Human Torch mini by Slott a few years back...

This series makes me wonder why marvel hardly ever teams spidey up with the X-men anymore. Spiderman and the x-men go together like peanut butter and jelly, who here remembers when they guest starred on spidey's 90's cartoon? Pure awesomeness.

Or even further back, on Amazing Friends. Both the original AND New X-Men appeared on that show.

I remember being puzzled over Wolvie's aussie accent, lol.

The second issue i thought was so much better and it looks like this ongoing storyline through the X-Men/Spidey history is turning out to be an interesting one.

Wow, I jsut realised I never reviewed the first issue. Well, anyway, I thought it was great. (I read it around the time when it came out and I also just picked up the second issue yesterday). I loved the interactions with he characters and overall, everything about it. I'm defenitely looking foward to the rest of the story. I picked up issue #2 yesterday and I'll be reading it tonight or tommorow.

The irony about that accent, Cap, is that an Aussie would later play Wolvie in the movies. Perhaps the castin' agent was psychich.

Issue #2 was more awesome than the first one and some nice foreshadowing of events to come. The ONLY thing i wasnt fond of was the X-men lineup that was used in the issue. I would've loved to see nightcrawler and colossus on the team with Spidey, but i guess Mutant Massacre put them out of commission. I'll need to read that story now. Otherwise great issue.

They printed X-men/Spider-man 3 with the cover of Manifest Destiny 5 and sent that out every where, so now every where I've looks Manifest Destiny 5 is sold out. Both Issues come out next week with the right covers lol

I have the one with the mixed cover as well as getting the right one next week...

well its probably the first Manifest Destiny Issue to sell out everywhere I was gonna look at it yesterday when I got comics, but i decided not to. then I got home and found out and when I went to look for it no one had it lol

Well, Marvel'll hafta see how the books sell next week and cross-reference it with this week's. Basically, if MD doesn't sell as well, then people bought it 'cause it was XMSM 3 or 'cause they think a mistake issue like that will rise in value. Hopefully, people buy the actual XMSM 3 when it comes out.

I mean, it's pretty obvious that the return of [blackout]the clone of the original Kraven[/blackout] is just around the corner...
