and I think some people misunderstand iloveclones or manofbat when it comes to BND. they just want good Spidey stories after it being crap for so long. the marriage and peters relationships are irrelevant when your looking at the whole picture.

when it comes to the quality to the book and you have to agree with them there.

I agree with that, although I don't collect steadily enough to say the stories have been consistently bad before BND.

So, my idea of Peter having the job of a model photographer was a dumb idea after all, I'm sorry.

Anyway, my real fear is the fact that they made a deal with Mephisto. Suppose MJ and Pete get back together again and make it work this time, what's to stop Mephisto from returning everything back the way it was pre-OMD/BND, that they would face poverty or certain death? You see, to me, pre- and post-OMD/BND is a loose-loose situation, either we accept this or the previous crap that's been done to the character.

I find some of the BND stories interesting...like the take on Paparazzi pete's character....for a flagship character he has been a complete tool for a couple of years now...

I liked the Paparazzi idea too. I would have liked to have seen it a little more fleshed out. There didn't seem to be a big "That it!" moment where Pete realized he didn't want to do it any more. But it's a decent idea.

I also think Maxred's idea of a model photographer is decent, although I think they were trying to do the same thing (MJ interaction)with the paparazzi deal.

Like I mentioned, seeing MJ in bed with this guy is disturbing to me. It doesn't make any sense. It goes against her character. If MJ does remember everything which is what it seems like, she wouldn't just lay down and give up on the relationship. MJ is too strong for that. She would find a way to make it all right or at least try.

They seem hell-bent on digging Spidey's grave to China, don't they??!!

Whatever....like I mentioned, MJ being misrepresented isn't my main problem. It's Spidey being a d**k. He was very unlikable at times during this storyline. I get that some people are going head over heals for this, but how can anyone support how the character is being written. Dan Slott is a hell of a writer and the concept behind the villain was also pretty cool in my eyes....but, Spider-man/Peter Parker really needs some work.

I guess they feel the need to totally and thoroughly DESTROY the "commitment" Peter and MJ used to have. If I read the spoiler correctly, she "remembers," right? So, by having the one person who is supposed to remember WHO Peter is and what they meant to each other do something like this... They are leaving NO molecule of the life they shared (before the devil destroyed it) intact.

Disgusting.

I can hardly stand to read about what is happening... (No wonder I read and LEAVE here less and less...).

Soooooo glad I stopped supporting this damnable direction before OMD.

I know you're NOT a fan of what happened nor the direction the books have taken, but do yourself a favour and READ the books in the store before basing your thoughts on other people's "opinions"...

I totally agree.

Captivated, I'm not saying you won't come to the same conclusions...but dude...do yourself a favor and read the issues before you get yourself in such ticked off mood and make your own conclusions. A lot of what you're getting in a huff about is far from even confirmed...simple conjecture, if I'm using the word properly.

The scene you heard about had Peter become a paparazzi temporarily and try to take a picture of Actor "Bobby Carr's new girlfriend. Peter was also temporarily being a body guard for Carr because the people who have tried to attack Carr in the past. (with law suits and such) have been murdered by a new stalker villain called paper doll. Pete took a pic of the kiss and as they were just getting into bed Mj feels paper doll. She runs into a safe room and locks herself inside while giving spidey tips during his fight with her. during this time she kept showing affection of him and saying things like always with the jokes. and we used to be a great team in another life. this alludes to pre-omd but its not confirmed whether she knows or not

Yup, now he's a 26 year old man with living with a room mate called vin (ewwww) whom is jealous because his colleague likes peter.

Yup, I always felt pete became a man when he was 16. but apparently im wrong. (I'm not saying he won't make mistakes...but a paparazzi?? cmon...)

Yup, wiped it all out. 20 years after stupid crap like the confusing part of the clone saga, sins past, and the other.
20 years means it has fans...and they show no respect towards Peter and Mj's marriage.

you can argue that 1 million bucks is alot of money, but he is a very smart dude. he can event something if he really wanted money.... but no we had peter pointing a camera into a couples bedroom. yea...weird.

The indication was clearly made that MJ has slept with the guy at some point (just not in this particular issue)......the only thing vague is whether or not she remembers the "mindwiped" version of her past life.....I would strongly suggest that she does not remember or Marvel are painting her with the same "****" brush they painted "Gwen" with.....(okay maybe not quite as vile a brush as was used on Gwen.....but I digress)

No smoking in comics now, but devil dealing marriages and sleeping around, whether she knows it or not, is even worse if she does.

It stinks to see them forced out of character by an agenda and then have it rubbed in our faces. I mean, it can be argued that they're still married, because the devil didn't really divorce them per say, but then again, he did alter the timeline, tho the writers want to tell us that it is all the same. Their reasoning is not working and it is hard to except their reasoning without seeing the giant holes in it.

They actually went back on the smoking thing in the last issue.
But joey q. put a little footnote basically saying "smoking is bad!"

they did it with gwen....and she is considered the perfect girl. (if you ignore the fact that she hated Spider-man that is. lol)

ASM issue 561 was probably my most favorite storyline yet. and I believe that peter didt know it was MJ who was in the Emergency Room. She knew it was Peter though. On top of all that, I really really liked the issue.
