X-Men: The Last Stand on DVD October 3

There is a bonus disc packaged with "X-Men: The Last Stand" at Wal-Mart called "X-Men Revealed." However it is NOT what the packaging claims to be.

On the back of the bonus disc's packaging it says it contains the following:

"Fox Movie channel presents casting session - Director Brett Ratner, Executive producer Stan Lee, Actors Patrick Stewart, Hugh Jackman, Halle Berry and many others talk about their experiences in bringing the X-Men movies to the big screen. The actors reveal how they landed the roles, learned about their characters' histories and personalities and then physically trained for the parts that bring X-Men The Last Stand to life.

Fox Movie Channel presents life after film school - Sit in on a revealing, intimate conversation between X-Men The Last Stand producer Ralph Winter and three film students. He shares advice for aspiring filmmakers, insider stories, personal insights and amazing on-set experiences gained during the production of all three X-Men films! "

It lists the running time at 36 minutes.

NONE of that is on the bonus disc. Instead the bonus disc features a featurette running about 1hr and 8min looking at the history of the X-Men comics.

Now I'm sure this is great of fans of the comic book but I bought the 2 pack at Wal-Mart for the behind-the-scenes material for the movie not a look at the comics. Again, the DVD is obviously false advertising. I would've opted for the cheaper single disc if I had known what the bonus disc really contained. I don't know what happened with FOX, if they mispressed the disc with the wrong content or changed their minds about the content and never corrected the packaging but I'm kinda pissed off about it.

what the hell is going on with all this BS???!!! first the 21 or 10 now the Walmart thing is a fake...

i HATE FOX.

Hm, do you have X1.5 (or is it X2?) because one of those two has a history of X-Men comics on it... hosted by Stan Lee or something. It might be that.

That's really messed up though, especially if even the runtime is off.

i would be mad but walmart made a mistake and didn't charge me so i can't complain

Well have to say that im happy so far. I got the regular dvd and ended up getting all the deleted scenes.

lol I wouldnt see why not, one of the discs has to have all the scenes on there.

I'm sure Michael knows the difference between X1.5 and the X3 DVD he just bought.

lol e-snark

I'm not calling him stupid in any way, shape or form. I meant exactly what I said... is it the History of the X-Men thing from X1.5 that they printed on it instead of what's supposed to be on there?

This is soo messed up! I guess I'm going to wait a couple of months or so, and see if that 2 disc set comes out.

I have the Wal-mart disc too, and no, it's not the same. It's brand new, and it's pretty good and informative. Just not what I wanted.

i kind of wish i'd bought that version now. but it's too bad that it is NOTHING like what it should be.

I'm liking the commentary. Only things I wish would've been added to the movie, (or in a future D.C.);

- The original Xavier speech opening, to give the returning feel of the other two films.
- The image of Jean in the artbook of Jean rising out of the water engulfed in a fire-ball and the water trailing below her.
- Adding the psychic voices and the "I Am Phoenix" line to the Xavier/Jean Grey battle.
- Jean sensing the little girl on the bridge.
- Storm creating the tidal wave.
- Magneto asking for Jean's help.
- Extended Jean destruction.
- Rogue NOT taking the cure, Beast staying at the mansion, showing more footage of the new school year taking place, and Wolverine heading off and arriving at the bar following a cut to Magneto in the park playing chess by himself.

have u seen the mags asking jean to fight in the battle?

The commantary was okay...but a lot of the things penn and kinberg and ratner were saying made me cringe. lol. tis true. Most stuff I didn't agree with but meh...whatever.

Yes, I've seen it. I just think it's a nice little hint at just how uncontrollable Jean actually is. I don't know why, it just stands out to me.

I was wondering about the commentary. I haven't seen it in the actuall movie, but I heard it in the deleted scenes. They were annoying me, so I was fearful of the movie commentary with them talking.

Whoever runs the packaging department at Fox is getting fired.

Doubtful. THey're still probably going to make a stupid amount of money. Why would they worry about what we think?

can you upload the scene? I wanna see it. :(

-sighs- The packaging should have had Jean in front with Mags behind her to the left and i dunno ... I was thinking Xavier on the right behind her... and then Scott and Wolverine somewhere... near Jean... and then Pyro behind mags with...mystique.
