FADE IN:
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM
JEFFERY and LAURA RANKIN stand over a bed with a DOCTOR. Their fifteen-year old son, CALVIN, lies in the bed, hooked to feeding tubes. He is in a coma. The doctor leads Jeff and Laura outside.
INT. HALLWAY
The doctor closes the door.
DOCTOR
I’m afraid he suffered some head trauma in the fall.
JEFF
What does that mean, Doctor?
DOCTOR
Well…we’re not sure if—if he’ll make it.
LAURA
No…
She turns and falls into Jeff’s arms, crying.
DOCTOR
I’m sorry. I know what you’re—
LAURA
No!
She breaks away and begins to yell at the doctor.
LAURA
You don’t know what we’re going through! That’s not your son in there!!
She points emphatically through the window to her son.
Two orderlies pass by and enter the room. One is a short man, with distinctive black hair, the other a stunning redhead. LOGAN and JEAN GREY.
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM
Logan and Jean stand over the bed. Jean turns and telekinetically closes the door. She closes her eyes.
JEAN
I’m telepathically shrouding us. They can’t see that we’re in here.
LOGAN
They see us out there?
JEAN
Hang on. I just need to erase the memory…okay. We’re clear.
She points to a table.
JEAN
The files are there. He forgot to take them with him.
Logan picks them up.
JEAN
You’re gonna have to take notes. I have to concentrate on keeping the shield up.
She hands him a pen and notepad. Logan takes them and begins copying from the doctor’s clipboard as Jean concentrates on shielding their presence.
LOGAN
What’s Chuck so interested in this kid for?
JEAN
He hasn’t detected any mutants in a while. Plus, the way he reacted to his powers is…unsettling.
LOGAN
What happened?
JEAN
He tried to jump off a building.
Logan places the clipboard back on the table. He brushes against the boy’s arm as he does. The boy’s eyelids flutter, but he doesn’t wake up. Logan looks back toward him, arching his eyebrow. A moment later, he shrugs and turns back to Jean.
LOGAN
We done here?
JEAN
Yeah. Let’s go.
EXT. X-MANSION-DAY
The sun is out, and the day is bright. KITTY PRYDE and BOBBY DRAKE lay in the grass.
INT. X-MANSION-ORORO’S ROOM
ORORO MUNROE sits on the bed, crying. A knock on the door.
ORORO
Come in.
ROGUE ADLER enters the room.
ROGUE
Uh…ah had a question, about the homework.
ORORO
Sure. Sit down.
Ororo pats a spot next to her on the bed. Rogue sits.
ROGUE
You alright?
ORORO
Yes, I’m fine.
Rogue spots a picture of HENRY MCCOY on the desktop.
ROGUE
You sure?
Ororo puts the picture face down on the desk.
ORORO
Positive. What was your question, Rogue?
ROGUE
Well…the lesson on evolution. You said that it was about survival of the fittest.
ORORO
That’s a very basic view of the idea, Rogue, but yes, to an extent, you’re correct.
ROGUE
So it’s about improvement, right? Betterment of the species, and stuff like that.
ORORO
Yes. It’s how humans became what they are today. It’s how we came…oh, Rogue, please don’t
ROGUE
Ah just…what’s so improved about me? How does not bein’ able to touch anybody better our species?
ORORO
I see I’m not alone in my sorrows.
She flips the picture back up.
ORORO
Who is it?
ROGUE
Oh, ah…ah couldn’t say…
Ororo smiles.
ORORO
Okay. That’s one problem it won’t hurt to keep inside. But Rogue…your powers are special. There’s nothing wrong with you. Don’t ever forget that.
ROGUE
Ah won’t. Thanks, Ms. Munroe.
INT. WAR ROOM
Jean and Logan enter. SCOTT SUMMERS and PROFESSOR XAVIER wait inside.
SCOTT
How’d it go?
JEAN
Okay. We got the information.
She joins Scott and wraps her arms around his waist, standing behind him and resting her chin on his shoulder. Logan watches her walk over to him closely.
XAVIER
Good. Cerebro should be fully operational again shortly. Hopefully, Hank’s tinkering will have paid off, and Cerebro’s capabilities will have increased tenfold.
JEAN
Should be an amazing experience. I wish I could try it.
XAVIER
As do I, Jean, but I’m afraid your telepathy is nowhere near that advanced.
JEAN
I know.
SCOTT
So what do we think about this kid?
Logan hands Xavier his notes. Xavier looks them over.
XAVIER
The bloodwork seems to indicate a mutated genetic structure. I believe that there is certainly something more to Mr. Rankin’s attempted suicide than meets the eye.
Ororo enters.
ORORO
Professor, we have visitors upstairs.
INT. FOYER
Scott wheels Xavier in. Ororo, Jean, and Logan follow. Jeff and Laura stand in the doorway.
LAURA
This is the Xavier Institute?
XAVIER
Yes, it is. I’m Charles Xavier.
JEFF
We need to talk to you about our son, Professor.
XAVIER
Of course. Come into my study, please.
Scott and Xavier lead the Rankins away.
JEAN
Logan, could you go check on the New Mutants, please? It’s just about time for their Danger Room training.
LOGAN
You got it.
Logan goes out the front door. Jean turns to Ororo.
JEAN
You okay?
ORORO
I’ve been hearing that a lot lately.
JEAN
Yeah, well, Hank’s been in the lab a lot lately.
ORORO
We’ve been “just friends” for a long time, you know.
JEAN
Not officially, you haven’t. No one buys that you guys broke up.
Ororo chuckles.
ORORO
I suppose not.
Jean looks past Ororo into the kitchen.
JEAN
You’re sure you’re okay?
ORORO
I’m fine. Thank you.
Ororo goes upstairs. Jean watches her go, then enters the study.
INT. ORORO’S ROOM
Ororo opens a cupboard and pulls out a bottle of vodka. She begins to drink it.
INT. ORORO’S BATHROOM
She enters with the bottle and stands over the sink, crying. She dumps the vodka into the sink.
INT. XAVIER’S STUDY
Xavier sits at his desk, Scott standing next to him. The Rankins sit across from him.
XAVIER
Your son is a mutant, Mr. Rankin. We’re not sure what his powers are just yet.
LAURA
I do.
Scott looks over to her. Jean enters, and stands on the other side of Xavier.
LAURA
He would…change. He became different things that he saw. Like he…like he mimicked other things.
Jeff looks at her, surprised.
JEFF
Why didn’t you—
LAURA
I thought it would go away.
XAVIER
Mutation isn’t something to wish away, Mrs. Rankin. Your son is special. Gifted.
LAURA
He tried to kill himself!
SCOTT
The world’s a hard place for mutants, Mrs. Rankin. Not everyone can handle it, but that doesn’t that mutation is a bad thing.
LAURA
I just want my son back.
XAVIER
Well, that’s out of my hands now. If he comes to, I would be more than happy to accept him into my school.
JEFF
Can you heal him?
XAVIER
Mr. Rankin, there’s nothing to heal. Calvin doesn’t have a disease. I can teach him to accept and control his powers, but they will always be a part of him.
Laura gets up.
LAURA
It’s not enough. I want my son back to normal.
She leaves, and Jeff follows her out.
Jean sighs.
JEAN
It’s never gonna stop, is it?
XAVIER
I’m afraid not, Jean.
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM
Laura and Jeff sit by their son. The doctor enters.
DOCTOR
Calvin’s heart rate is increasing. As long as it doesn’t overwork itself, I think we’ll be seeing him wake up soon.
JEFF
Thank God.
DOCTOR
It’s really a miracle that this happened. I can’t explain how he made such a sudden turnaround.
Charles Xavier, accompanied by Logan and Jean, enters the room.
XAVIER
No, but I can. Calvin is a mutant.
LAURA
No he’s not. Don’t say that.
XAVIER
Mrs. Rankin, please, don’t hide it any longer.
Jean looks over to the doctor. He is frozen in place. Her eyes glow purple as she keeps him that way.
JEFF
What are you doing to the doctor?
LOGAN
We’re keepin’ this conversation private.
XAVIER
Calvin’s mutant power is the only thing that’s kept your son alive. Without it, he’d surely have died this morning.
LAURA
What do you mean?
XAVIER
He has the power to mimic other mutants’ abilities. Logan here has an advanced healing factor, and Jean is a telepath. It seems that Calvin subconsciously mimicked Logan’s powers in order to preserve his life.
LAURA
No…it made him want to kill himself…he doesn’t want to be a mutant!
XAVIER
You mean you don’t want him to be a mutant. That’s a vital difference, Laura.
LAURA
You’re saying it’s my fault?
XAVIER
I’m saying that it’s not easy to be different in our world. Allow Calvin to come to my school. Let him learn how to control his powers. Let him be somewhere where he will be accepted.
Suddenly, everything stops. The bed lifts from the floor, Calvin with it.
JEAN
Oh no…
She turns to the Professor.
JEAN
Professor, he’s using our powers now.
XAVIER
I know! I’m trying to fight it…
Xavier flies back into the wall. Jean grabs Logan and creates a telekinetic bubble around the two of them.
LOGAN
There’s one way to stop this.
He pops his claws.
JEAN
Logan, no!
LOGAN
He’s got Chuck’s powers, Jeannie! There ain’t much choice.
JEAN
And what would you do if it were one of us in that position?
LOGAN
You’d better hope I’d do the same thing.
JEAN
He’s fifteen, Logan. You can’t kill him.
The TK bubble shatters.
LOGAN
That’s it!
JEAN
Logan!
She extends an arm and sends him flying sideways into a counter, breaking some glass. Jean is forced backward by the whirlpool of energy now surrounding Calvin. Xavier crawls forward, past the frozen bodies of Jeff and Laura. Calvin sneers at him.
XAVIER
Stop this, Calvin. Control your powers!
Calvin sends him flying back again.
XAVIER
Calvin!
Xavier sends a blast of energy at Calvin, diverting the storm of telekinetic energy. Jean crawls up to join him. Logan staggers toward the bed.
JEAN
Professor! Logan!
Charles turns toward Logan.
XAVIER
Not yet, Logan! Give me a chance!
LOGAN
You got five minutes, Chuck!
Xavier closes his eyes. The energy cascading around Calvin slowly dissipates. Calvin returns to the bed, wide awake. The tubes that had connected him to all sorts of medical apparatus lay askew on the floor. He glares at Xavier.
CALVIN
Who are you?
XAVIER
My name is Charles Xavier. I can help you, Calvin.
CALVIN
You’re no one.
The room explodes in telekinetic energy.
INT. X-MANSION-DAY
Scott and Gambit run through the halls and find Henry.
SCOTT
Where’s Storm?
HENRY
I haven’t seen her, why?
GAMBIT
Alert from the professor. Something’s up at the hospital.
SCOTT
We’ll have to go without her. Everyone suit up.
EXT. VERANDA-DAY
Ororo watches from the veranda outside her room as the X-Men hop in Scott’s car and speed off. She returns inside, grabbing a bottle of wine as she does.
INT. HOSPITAL-DAY
Logan comes to first. He pops his claws.
LOGAN
This kid’s goin’ down.
Cyclops and the X-Men burst into to the room, now in total disarray.
CYCLOPS
Logan! What’s going on? Where’s Jean and the professor?
LOGAN
They’re over there. The kid knocked ‘em out.
HENRY
What can he do?
LOGAN
He’s a mimic. He can do anything we can.
GAMBIT
Uh-huh. An’ where is he now?
HENRY
That looks to be our most pressing issue.
EXT. STREET-DAY
The four X-Men run out of the hospital. Calvin marches down the street, wreaking havoc with his new telekinesis.
LOGAN
I’m goin’ after him an’ endin’ this now!
Cyclops shoots Calvin down with an optic beam, but Calvin merely deflects it with a flick of his wrist.
Logan charges forward, through the telekinetic bubble, and impales Calvin on his claws.
Calvin sneers at Logan, and knocks him backward with TK. Calvin cracks his neck as the wounds heal. He smiles evilly, then shoots an optic beam from his eyes, striking Gambit. Beast leaps on top of him from behind, knocking him to the ground.
Calvin snarls.
INT. HOSPITAL
Jean wakes up and limps over to Xavier.
JEAN
Professor! Come on, get up!
She props Xavier up. Scott rushes back in.
SCOTT
Jean!
JEAN
Scott! Help.
Scott bends down and scoops up Charles.
SCOTT
How’re we gonna stop this?
JEAN
I dunno. We need to find his parents, I don’t know where they went.
EXT. STREET-DAY
Logan spots Scott and Jean.
LOGAN
Yo, Cyke! Drop Chuck and get over here. The kid’s taken on Beast’s less likeable traits.
Calvin, furry, blue, and dangerous, launches himself onto Logan, who wrestles him off, throwing him through the window of a department store.
LOGAN
Any day now, Slim.
Scott turns to Jean.
SCOTT
You can handle this?
JEAN
No problem.
She lifts Xavier telekinetically.
JEAN
Take the little bastard out for me.
Scott smiles wryly, then joins Logan.
SCOTT
How’s this gonna work out?
LOGAN
Kid’s healing. Gonna have to knock him out cold ‘til the powers wear off.
Calvin charges forward, blasting beams left and right. Logan and Scott dodge them. Logan dives forward and slashes at Calvin, but the wounds heal. Scott fires a blast at Calvin, but it barely phases him.
SCOTT
Do they wear off?
LOGAN
The hell should I know?
SCOTT
Fair enough.
Gambit whacks Calvin on the side of the head with his staff.
GAMBIT
If you’re gonna do something, mes amis, I suggest you do it now.
Henry joins them.
HENRY
The lad has a point. What’s our plan, Fearless Leader.
SCOTT
You read Cerebro’s files, Hank. What can this kid do?
HENRY
He steals other people’s powers, much like our friend Rogue, but without the detrimental effects.
SCOTT
Do they wear off? Is it a distance thing?
HENRY
I’m unsure of the range, but I’d guess that there is one.
Scott turns to Jean.
SCOTT
Jean! Trade places with Gambit!
Jean comes over, and Gambit goes to stay with the professor and the Rankins.
JEAN
What do you need, Scott?
SCOTT
Get us on the roof.
Jean closes her eyes, and TK energy surrounds the group. They levitate up to the roof of the hospital, far away from Calvin. Jean looks down.
JEAN
What now?
SCOTT
Kid can’t fly.
JEAN
Well, technically, neither can we, but you don’t see that stopping us. He has my powers, Scott.
LOGAN
Might wanna look again, Red.
Calvin comes to, but all of his powers have gone away. He looks up, confused.
SCOTT
Jean. Shut him down.
JEAN
Okay.
She winces, pained, then closes her eyes. Calvin collapses.
SCOTT
Let’s get him back inside.
INT. X-MANSION-FOYER
Xavier sits before the X-Men.
XAVIER
You all performed commendably. And, luckily, I was able to set things right with the hospital board. All’s well that ends well, I suppose.
Ororo joins them.
ORORO
Sorry I wasn’t around. Follow-up evolution lesson downstairs.
SCOTT
It’s fine. We didn’t exactly look very hard.
INT. HALLWAY UPSTAIRS
Rogue and KITTY PRYDE watch the conversation.
KITTY
Storm wasn’t teaching. She was in her room the whole—
ROGUE
Shh! They’ll hear.
KITTY
Let’s go back to the room.
INT. FOYER
Jean moves over, making room for Ororo.
JEAN
Will Calvin be joining us here?
XAVIER
I don’t think so, Jean. Between his attempted suicide, and his obviously violent tendencies…I’ve recommended to Dr. Reyes that he be kept in isolation from other mutants.
SCOTT
Probably for the best.
XAVIER
Indeed.
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM
The doctor speaks with Jeff.
DOCTOR
We’re not sure if he’s going to wake up, Mr. Rankin.
JEFF
Oh, God. I can’t…I can’t believe this.
Calvin lies still in the bed, IV feeding him.
He flatlines.

He has the power to mimic other mutants’ abilities. Logan here has an advanced healing factor, and Jean is a telepath. It seems that Calvin subconsciously mimicked Logan’s powers in order to preserve his life.
LAURA
No…it made him want to kill himself…he doesn’t want to be a mutant!
XAVIER
You mean you don’t want him to be a mutant. That’s a vital difference, Laura.
LAURA
You’re saying it’s my fault?
XAVIER
I’m saying that it’s not easy to be different in our world. Allow Calvin to come to my school. Let him learn how to control his powers. Let him be somewhere where he will be accepted.
Suddenly, everything stops. The bed lifts from the floor, Calvin with it.
JEAN
Oh no…
She turns to the Professor.
JEAN
Professor, he’s using our powers now.
XAVIER
I know! I’m trying to fight it…
Xavier flies back into the wall. Jean grabs Logan and creates a telekinetic bubble around the two of them.
LOGAN
There’s one way to stop this.
He pops his claws.
JEAN
Logan, no!
LOGAN
He’s got Chuck’s powers, Jeannie! There ain’t much choice.
JEAN
And what would you do if it were one of us in that position?
LOGAN
You’d better hope I’d do the same thing.
JEAN
He’s fifteen, Logan. You can’t kill him.
The TK bubble shatters.
LOGAN
That’s it!
JEAN
Logan!
She extends an arm and sends him flying sideways into a counter, breaking some glass. Jean is forced backward by the whirlpool of energy now surrounding Calvin. Xavier crawls forward, past the frozen bodies of Jeff and Laura. Calvin sneers at him.
XAVIER
Stop this, Calvin. Control your powers!
Calvin sends him flying back again.
XAVIER
Calvin!
Xavier sends a blast of energy at Calvin, diverting the storm of telekinetic energy. Jean crawls up to join him. Logan staggers toward the bed.
JEAN
Professor! Logan!
Charles turns toward Logan.
XAVIER
Not yet, Logan! Give me a chance!
LOGAN
You got five minutes, Chuck!
Xavier closes his eyes. The energy cascading around Calvin slowly dissipates. Calvin returns to the bed, wide awake. The tubes that had connected him to all sorts of medical apparatus lay askew on the floor. He glares at Xavier.
CALVIN
Who are you?
XAVIER
My name is Charles Xavier. I can help you, Calvin.
CALVIN
You’re no one.
The room explodes in telekinetic energy.
INT. X-MANSION-DAY
Scott and Gambit run through the halls and find Henry.
SCOTT
Where’s Storm?
HENRY
I haven’t seen her, why?
GAMBIT
Alert from the professor. Something’s up at the hospital.
SCOTT
We’ll have to go without her. Everyone suit up.
EXT. VERANDA-DAY
Ororo watches from the veranda outside her room as the X-Men hop in Scott’s car and speed off. She returns inside, grabbing a bottle of wine as she does.
INT. HOSPITAL-DAY
Logan comes to first. He pops his claws.
LOGAN
This kid’s goin’ down.
Cyclops and the X-Men burst into to the room, now in total disarray.
CYCLOPS
Logan! What’s going on? Where’s Jean and the professor?
LOGAN
They’re over there. The kid knocked ‘em out.
HENRY
What can he do?
LOGAN
He’s a mimic. He can do anything we can.
GAMBIT
Uh-huh. An’ where is he now?
HENRY
That looks to be our most pressing issue.
EXT. STREET-DAY
The four X-Men run out of the hospital. Calvin marches down the street, wreaking havoc with his new telekinesis.
LOGAN
I’m goin’ after him an’ endin’ this now!
Cyclops shoots Calvin down with an optic beam, but Calvin merely deflects it with a flick of his wrist.
Logan charges forward, through the telekinetic bubble, and impales Calvin on his claws.
Calvin sneers at Logan, and knocks him backward with TK. Calvin cracks his neck as the wounds heal. He smiles evilly, then shoots an optic beam from his eyes, striking Gambit. Beast leaps on top of him from behind, knocking him to the ground.
Calvin snarls.
INT. HOSPITAL
Jean wakes up and limps over to Xavier.
JEAN
Professor! Come on, get up!
She props Xavier up. Scott rushes back in.
SCOTT
Jean!
JEAN
Scott! Help.
Scott bends down and scoops up Charles.
SCOTT
How’re we gonna stop this?
JEAN
I dunno. We need to find his parents, I don’t know where they went.
EXT. STREET-DAY
Logan spots Scott and Jean.
LOGAN
Yo, Cyke! Drop Chuck and get over here. The kid’s taken on Beast’s less likeable traits.
Calvin, furry, blue, and dangerous, launches himself onto Logan, who wrestles him off, throwing him through the window of a department store.
LOGAN
Any day now, Slim.
Scott turns to Jean.
SCOTT
You can handle this?
JEAN
No problem.
She lifts Xavier telekinetically.
JEAN
Take the little bastard out for me.
Scott smiles wryly, then joins Logan.
SCOTT
How’s this gonna work out?
LOGAN
Kid’s healing. Gonna have to knock him out cold ‘til the powers wear off.
Calvin charges forward, blasting beams left and right. Logan and Scott dodge them. Logan dives forward and slashes at Calvin, but the wounds heal. Scott fires a blast at Calvin, but it barely phases him.
SCOTT
Do they wear off?
LOGAN
The hell should I know?
SCOTT
Fair enough.
Gambit whacks Calvin on the side of the head with his staff.
GAMBIT
If you’re gonna do something, mes amis, I suggest you do it now.
Henry joins them.
HENRY
The lad has a point. What’s our plan, Fearless Leader.
SCOTT
You read Cerebro’s files, Hank. What can this kid do?
HENRY
He steals other people’s powers, much like our friend Rogue, but without the detrimental effects.
SCOTT
Do they wear off? Is it a distance thing?
HENRY
I’m unsure of the range, but I’d guess that there is one.
Scott turns to Jean.
SCOTT
Jean! Trade places with Gambit!
Jean comes over, and Gambit goes to stay with the professor and the Rankins.
JEAN
What do you need, Scott?
SCOTT
Get us on the roof.
Jean closes her eyes, and TK energy surrounds the group. They levitate up to the roof of the hospital, far away from Calvin. Jean looks down.
JEAN
What now?
SCOTT
Kid can’t fly.
JEAN
Well, technically, neither can we, but you don’t see that stopping us. He has my powers, Scott.
LOGAN
Might wanna look again, Red.
Calvin comes to, but all of his powers have gone away. He looks up, confused.
SCOTT
Jean. Shut him down.
JEAN
Okay.
She winces, pained, then closes her eyes. Calvin collapses.
SCOTT
Let’s get him back inside.
INT. X-MANSION-FOYER
Xavier sits before the X-Men.
XAVIER
You all performed commendably. And, luckily, I was able to set things right with the hospital board. All’s well that ends well, I suppose.
Ororo joins them.
ORORO
Sorry I wasn’t around. Follow-up evolution lesson downstairs.
SCOTT
It’s fine. We didn’t exactly look very hard.
INT. HALLWAY UPSTAIRS
Rogue and KITTY PRYDE watch the conversation.
KITTY
Storm wasn’t teaching. She was in her room the whole—
ROGUE
Shh! They’ll hear.
KITTY
Let’s go back to the room.
INT. FOYER
Jean moves over, making room for Ororo.
JEAN
Will Calvin be joining us here?
XAVIER
I don’t think so, Jean. Between his attempted suicide, and his obviously violent tendencies…I’ve recommended to Dr. Reyes that he be kept in isolation from other mutants.
SCOTT
Probably for the best.
XAVIER
Indeed.
INT. HOSPITAL ROOM
The doctor speaks with Jeff.
DOCTOR
We’re not sure if he’s going to wake up, Mr. Rankin.
JEFF
Oh, God. I can’t…I can’t believe this.
Calvin lies still in the bed, IV feeding him.
He flatlines.

Ha...good question. As long as I can stomach it, I suppose. I have the whole series mapped out, but that's 88 episodes, which is insane. I don't know how far I can get, but I'd like to see it finished one day. I don't even know if I'll get to the end of the first season at this rate, though.

EXT. XAVIER INSTITUTE-DAY
KITTY PRYDE, BOBBY DRAKE, JUBILATION LEE, JOHN ALLERDYCE, KURT WAGNER, and ROGUE ADLER, all in bathing suits, relax outside by the pool. Rogue is slightly away from the rest of the group, owing to her powers.
KITTY
This is amazing!
JUBILEE
Just think: were in the only spot in all of New York thats 80 and sunny in the middle of October!
KURT
Sure is nice having a weather witch on staff.
ORORO MUNROE, better known as STORM, appears behind him.
ORORO
Thank you for the appreciation, Kurt, but weather witch is a little offensive.
KURT
Sorry, Ms. Munroe.
ORORO
As for everyone else, Im sure youre enjoying the nice weather, but I seem to remember setting you all homework for biology?
Kitty and Rogue grimace simultaneously.
BOBBY
Yknow, I honestly have no idea what youre talking about.
Ororo smiles and shakes her head.
ORORO
Inside, before I make it snow.
Reluctantly, everyone gets up and heads inside. Ororo watches them all go, and then is joined by HENRY MCCOY, the BEAST.
HENRY
Youre not going to make it snow on me, are you?
ORORO
Not at the moment.
She turns to face him.
ORORO
You havent talked to me one on one in ages, Henry.
HENRY
I know.
Pause.
HENRY
Its not you. Its me.
ORORO
Of course it is.
Ororo leaves, as it begins snowing.
INT. STUDY HALL
The kids sit around a large table with notebooks and paper. Rogue looks outside the window.
ROGUE
Storm must be in a foul mood.
Everyone looks out at the snow.
JOHN
Damn. Wouldnt wanna piss that lady off.
VOICE
Smart move.
REMY LEBEAU, GAMBIT, joins them in the study hall.
REMY
So, I know yall got a lot o work to do, an all that nonsense, but seein as Im the only resident non-teacher
Bobby and Kurt look hopefully at him, while Rogue looks with a different kind of hope.

EXT. ARCADE
The building has an ornate sign reading ARCADE over the entrance. Remy and the kids stand in a group outside.
JOHN
Yknow, for some reason, I thought youd get us drunk or something. Seemed like that kind of guy.
REMY
Now, whats that sposed to mean, Allerdyce?
JOHN
This is a freakin arcade, man.
REMY
Dont knock it til you tried it, smartass.
They all enter.
INT. ARCADE
The ARCADE OWNER, an excitable little man with flaming red hair, greets the group enthusiastically.
OWNER
Welcome!
The kids shift around uncomfortably.
OWNER
Oh, come on! Youre in an arcade! Loosen up a little!
Kitty coughs politely. John snorts derisively.
OWNER
Hmm, this wont do. Nothing in this rooms going to interest you, I see. I wonder
The owner leans in close.
OWNER
How would you all like to try Murderworld?
Jubilee raises an eyebrow.
OWNER
Dont worry, its not actually about murdering people.
JOHN
Damn. And I thought you were serious.
OWNER (contd)
Its a highly realistic three-dimensional game.
BOBBY
Bet we could do one better at
Remy elbows him hard. Bobby stops talking, and rubs his arm.
REMY
Well give it a shot.
EXT. X-MANSION
The snow has stopped. SCOTT SUMMERS and JEAN GREY walk together outside.
JEAN
Its nice to have some downtime.
SCOTT
Lifes definitely much better when no ones trying to kill us, thats for sure.
Jean smiles.
JEAN
Maybe thisll be an adventure free week for us.
SCOTT
Never happen. We dont have that kind of luck.
They kiss playfully.
INT. LOUNGE
Henry sits alone, reading.
HENRY
Ah fascinating
Henry looks up as LOGAN enters the room.
LOGAN
Wanna tell me what youre doin in here?
HENRY
Going through my exercises in self-loathing.
LOGAN
Isnt that Cykes department?
Logan sits at a chair diagonal from Henrys.
LOGAN
Look, I dont know whats goin on with you an ro, but
He looks directly at Henry.
LOGAN (contd)
Fix it.
Henry meets Logans stare.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The room takes on the appearance of a carnival.
JOHN
Great. A carnival.
He scoffs.
JOHN
This is like some place Drake would take a girl out on a date.
He looks at Bobby.
JOHN
Oh, wait.
KITTY
Hey!
JUBILEE
Uh, guys you might wanna turn around.
John, Kitty, and Bobby turn to find MYSTIQUE behind them. Rogues eyes widen in shock. Mystique takes out a knife, and charges toward Kitty. Kitty phases, and dives forward, but Mystique continues through and slits Bobbys throat.
KITTY
Bobby!
Bobby falls to the ground as Mystique cackles. Remy charges forward and smacks Mystique across the head with his staff. Her head flies off, revealing sparking cables. Kitty kneels down beside Bobby.
KITTY
Oh my God
Remy puts a hand on her shoulder.
REMY
Its not real.
Kitty cant take her eyes off Bobbys still corpse.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby stands with the owner. He looks over to the wall, where the others are still plugged into Murderworld. He watches their progress on a monitor.
OWNER
See how fun the arcade can be?
BOBBY
(unconvinced)
Yeah.
INT. MANSION FOYER
Jean and Scott enter the mansion.
JEAN
It feels empty in here.
SCOTT
Why are the students gone?
Ororo descends the staircase.
ORORO
Because Remy took them out, despite the fact that they all have projects due this week.
SCOTT
You can take the Cajun out of New Orleans
ORORO
Indeed.
Ororo continues into the kitchen. Jean places a hand on Scotts arm.
JEAN
Ill be right back, Scott.
Jean follows Ororo.
INT. KITCHEN
Ororo opens the fridge and pulls out a bottle of wine. She places a glass on the table and pours. The wine stops just above the glass. Ororo looks up to find Jean.
ORORO
Jean.
JEAN
Do you think Im stupid or something?
ORORO
Why would you say that?
JEAN
(telepathically)
Because I know what youre thinking.
The glass flies away, smashing into the wall, and the bottle returns to the fridge, which closes.
JEAN
(telepathically)
Its the fourth bottle youve opened in two days, Ororo. And thats just what youve let us see.
Ororo looks away.
JEAN
(telepathically)
I think youve let this thing with Hank get ahead of you. And I think youre gonna get yourself hurt.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The group enters a house of mirrors. Reflections of MAGNETO surround them.
KITTY
This is insane. I want out.
OWNER (V/O)
Oh, no, Im sorry. Its not that easy.
INT. ARCADE
The owner smiles.
OWNER
And anyway, things are about to get much more interesting.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The glass shatters. Kitty grabs Jubilee and Rogue, making all three intangible. Gambit shields himself with his coat. Kurt teleports away. John, however, is ripped to shreds by the storm. Rogue shouts.
INT. ARCADE
John awakes, and joins Bobby.
JOHN
I got a bad feeling about this.
The owner continues smiling.
OWNER
Two down. And youre mutants.
He looks at John and Bobby.
OWNER
I think well have to up the ante.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Magneto is at the center of the swirling glass. Jubilee launches fireworks at him, knocking him back. Rogue runs for him, touching his neck with her bare hand. Nothing happens.
JUBILEE
Rogue, theyre robots! Your powers are no good!
ROGUE
Damn it!
Suddenly, Magneto launches an awning toward Rogue. Gambit leaps for her and rolls with her out of the way.
ROGUE
Thanks.
She looks down.
ROGUE
Remy, your leg
Gambits leg has been cut by the awning.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby looks over to Gambit. His leg is bleeding.
BOBBY
What are you
The owner is enthralled by the game, no longer paying attention to Bobby and John.
BOBBY
John, its real.
JOHN
What?
He looks at Gambit.
JOHN
Oh, s.hit.
Bobby ices up and launches at the owner.
BOBBY
Turn it off!
John runs over to the others.
OWNER
Dont unplug them!
John stops and turns.
JOHN
Why shouldnt I?
OWNER
Because if you do, youll kill them. The game has to be turned off firstand only I can do that!
BOBBY
Then do it.
The owner stands up. Bobby is still iced.
OWNER
I wanna see how it ends.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Kitty, Kurt, Jubilee, Rogue, and Gambit search for Magneto in a maze.
KITTY
Okay, this isnt fun anymore.
JUBILEE
Was it ever?
GAMBIT
This guy means business. We gotta get out of here.
Suddenly, Magneto stands before them. He lifts his hand, and the walls of the maze begin to enclose on the mutants.
INT. XAVIERS STUDY
Jean enters.
JEAN
Professor?
XAVIER
Yes, Jean? What is it?
Jean shuts the door.
JEAN
Its Ororo.
XAVIER
So you know?
JEAN
Does anyone else?
Scott enters.
SCOTT
Yeah. We do.
Henry follows him.
HENRY
We have to make this right.
Jean bites her lip.
JEAN
Oh my God I cant believe this is happening.
XAVIER
Ive already spoken with a doctor in Manhattan. They agree that an intervention would be best in this case.
INT. HALLWAY
Jean, Scott, Hank, and Xavier gather outside Ororos room.
HENRY
This is depressingly normal. By our standards, anyway.
JEAN
Tell me about it.
Jean hesitates.
JEAN
(telepathically)
This isnt the place to do this. We cant corner her. Go go wait in the kitchen.
They go. Jean knocks on the door.
JEAN
Ororo?
Ororo opens the door.
ORORO
Jean. Hi.
JEAN
Hey. Could you come down to the kitchen with me? The kids are gone, so its dish duty.
ORORO
And you need me because?
JEAN
City shut down the water.
Ororo raises an eyebrow.
ORORO
Okay.
INT. KITCHEN
Ororo enters. Scott stands by the sink.
SCOTT
ro. We gotta talk.
Ororo turns. Jean and Logan block her way.
ORORO
What is this?
SCOTT
Its an intervention, ro. You need help. You gotta get clean.
ORORO
I dont have a problem!
LOGAN
Yeah, you do.
Xavier joins Scott.
XAVIER
Ive spoken to a clinic, in Manhattan. Its a very good establishment. Youll get the best care there.
ORORO
I dont know whose idea this was, but there is no way in hell that Im going anywhere!
SCOTT
Ororo, you have to listen to us
ORORO
No, I dont.
She storms past them. Henry steps into the room.
HENRY
Ororo. You have to do this.
Ororo takes a deep breath, then collapses into Henrys arms, crying profusely.
ORORO
Oh my God Hank
Henry embraces her.
ORORO
Oh God
Jean embraces Ororo from behind. Logan watches, as do Scott and Xavier.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby watches in horror.
JOHN
Wait. How did you even know to put Magneto and Mystique in there? If you didnt know we were mutants?
The owner smiles.
OWNER
Mystique has used this facility before. Ive helped loads of super villains with their training.
BOBBY
Why?
OWNER
Like Mystique, most of them pay well. And, if Mystique learns that Ive killed you, shell probably pay a hefty sum to yours truly.
John flicks his lighter.
JOHN
Thats it, Im frying him.
BOBBY
No, John! You cant, or theyll die!
OWNER
Good boy.
He turns to the monitor, maliciously.
OWNER
Now watch them squirm.
BOBBY
No!
He attacks the owner.
BOBBY
John! Unplug them!
JOHN
Got it!
John runs to the others and deactivates their headsets.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Suddenly, Kitty blips away.
JUBILEE
Kitty!
Jubilee disappears as well. Rogue looks in fear at Gambit.
ROGUE
Remy, whats goin on?
GAMBIT
I dunno, chére
Then theyre gone, too.
Magneto looks around, confused.
MAGNETO
What the hell ?
INT. ARCADE
The new mutants collectively come to. Rogue is up in no time, approaching the owner while removing a glove.
ROGUE
All right, what the hell?
OWNER
Look, I didnt mean it!
KITTY
Oh, we see. You didnt mean to kill us. Everythings okay, then.
JUBILEE
Like hell. Im zapping him.
She charges forward. Kitty grabs her shoulder.
KITTY
Whoa, Jubes. Sarcasm.
JUBILEE
Oh, right.
Gambit rounds on the owner.
GAMBIT
This was all bout money, right?
OWNER
Of course.
GAMBIT
Well, you tried to kill us. You failed. End of story?
OWNER
I got nothing against you.
GAMBIT
Good. See you round.
Kurts eyes widen.
KURT
Wait, thats it?!
GAMBIT
Yup, thats it. Lets go.
EXT. STREET-DAY
They exit the arcade.
JOHN
Well, Gambit, that was really a great idea. Somehow, I think Xavier would be a lot less pissed if you just got us drunk, which, by the way, was my idea in the first place.
GAMBIT
Seriously, Allerdyce, its three in the afternoon. And shut up.
John makes a face.
KITTY
So I kinda wanna go do biology homework now. Which is weird.
KURT
Definitely weird.
Kitty takes Bobbys hand.
BOBBY
Well we do complain about not going on missions.
ROGUE
Yeah, Ill never do that again.
JUBILEE
Two of us died. No wonder they dont let us go up against Mystique.
GAMBIT
Hope thats a lesson well learned for all of you.
John scoffs.
GAMBIT
Im looking at you, Allerdyce.
JOHN
Yeah, yeah.
EXT. NEW YORK CITY-DAY
Jean and Ororo pull up outside an rehab clinic.
EXT. REHAB CLINIC-DAY
Jean and Ororo exit Xaviers Rolls Royce.
JEAN
Take some time. Sober up.
ORORO
Who knew? Me, an alcoholic.
JEAN
No one thinks any less of you.
They hug, tearfully.
JEAN
Get clean.
ORORO
I will. Ill come back. I promise.
They part. Ororo begins to go inside.
JEAN
Good luck.
ORORO
Thank you, Jean. For everything.
Ororo goes inside, and the door closes.

Ororo smiles and shakes her head.
ORORO
Inside, before I make it snow.
Reluctantly, everyone gets up and heads inside. Ororo watches them all go, and then is joined by HENRY MCCOY, the BEAST.
HENRY
Youre not going to make it snow on me, are you?
ORORO
Not at the moment.
She turns to face him.
ORORO
You havent talked to me one on one in ages, Henry.
HENRY
I know.
Pause.
HENRY
Its not you. Its me.
ORORO
Of course it is.
Ororo leaves, as it begins snowing.
INT. STUDY HALL
The kids sit around a large table with notebooks and paper. Rogue looks outside the window.
ROGUE
Storm must be in a foul mood.
Everyone looks out at the snow.
JOHN
Damn. Wouldnt wanna piss that lady off.
VOICE
Smart move.
REMY LEBEAU, GAMBIT, joins them in the study hall.
REMY
So, I know yall got a lot o work to do, an all that nonsense, but seein as Im the only resident non-teacher
Bobby and Kurt look hopefully at him, while Rogue looks with a different kind of hope.
REMY (contd)
what say we all go out for a little fun?
EXT. ARCADE
The building has an ornate sign reading ARCADE over the entrance. Remy and the kids stand in a group outside.
JOHN
Yknow, for some reason, I thought youd get us drunk or something. Seemed like that kind of guy.
REMY
Now, whats that sposed to mean, Allerdyce?
JOHN
This is a freakin arcade, man.
REMY
Dont knock it til you tried it, smartass.
They all enter.
INT. ARCADE
The ARCADE OWNER, an excitable little man with flaming red hair, greets the group enthusiastically.
OWNER
Welcome!
The kids shift around uncomfortably.
OWNER
Oh, come on! Youre in an arcade! Loosen up a little!
Kitty coughs politely. John snorts derisively.
OWNER
Hmm, this wont do. Nothing in this rooms going to interest you, I see. I wonder
The owner leans in close.
OWNER
How would you all like to try Murderworld?
Jubilee raises an eyebrow.
OWNER
Dont worry, its not actually about murdering people.
JOHN
Damn. And I thought you were serious.
OWNER (contd)
Its a highly realistic three-dimensional game.
BOBBY
Bet we could do one better at
Remy elbows him hard. Bobby stops talking, and rubs his arm.
REMY
Well give it a shot.
EXT. X-MANSION
The snow has stopped. SCOTT SUMMERS and JEAN GREY walk together outside.
JEAN
Its nice to have some downtime.
SCOTT
Lifes definitely much better when no ones trying to kill us, thats for sure.
Jean smiles.
JEAN
Maybe thisll be an adventure free week for us.
SCOTT
Never happen. We dont have that kind of luck.
They kiss playfully.
INT. LOUNGE
Henry sits alone, reading.
HENRY
Ah fascinating
Henry looks up as LOGAN enters the room.
LOGAN
Wanna tell me what youre doin in here?
HENRY
Going through my exercises in self-loathing.
LOGAN
Isnt that Cykes department?
Logan sits at a chair diagonal from Henrys.
LOGAN
Look, I dont know whats goin on with you an ro, but
He looks directly at Henry.
LOGAN (contd)
Fix it.
Henry meets Logans stare.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The room takes on the appearance of a carnival.
JOHN
Great. A carnival.
He scoffs.
JOHN
This is like some place Drake would take a girl out on a date.
He looks at Bobby.
JOHN
Oh, wait.
KITTY
Hey!
JUBILEE
Uh, guys you might wanna turn around.
John, Kitty, and Bobby turn to find MYSTIQUE behind them. Rogues eyes widen in shock. Mystique takes out a knife, and charges toward Kitty. Kitty phases, and dives forward, but Mystique continues through and slits Bobbys throat.
KITTY
Bobby!
Bobby falls to the ground as Mystique cackles. Remy charges forward and smacks Mystique across the head with his staff. Her head flies off, revealing sparking cables. Kitty kneels down beside Bobby.
KITTY
Oh my God
Remy puts a hand on her shoulder.
REMY
Its not real.
Kitty cant take her eyes off Bobbys still corpse.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby stands with the owner. He looks over to the wall, where the others are still plugged into Murderworld. He watches their progress on a monitor.
OWNER
See how fun the arcade can be?
BOBBY
(unconvinced)
Yeah.
INT. MANSION FOYER
Jean and Scott enter the mansion.
JEAN
It feels empty in here.
SCOTT
Why are the students gone?
Ororo descends the staircase.
ORORO
Because Remy took them out, despite the fact that they all have projects due this week.
SCOTT
You can take the Cajun out of New Orleans
ORORO
Indeed.
Ororo continues into the kitchen. Jean places a hand on Scotts arm.
JEAN
Ill be right back, Scott.
Jean follows Ororo.
INT. KITCHEN
Ororo opens the fridge and pulls out a bottle of wine. She places a glass on the table and pours. The wine stops just above the glass. Ororo looks up to find Jean.
ORORO
Jean.
JEAN
Do you think Im stupid or something?
ORORO
Why would you say that?
JEAN
(telepathically)
Because I know what youre thinking.
The glass flies away, smashing into the wall, and the bottle returns to the fridge, which closes.
JEAN
(telepathically)
Its the fourth bottle youve opened in two days, Ororo. And thats just what youve let us see.
Ororo looks away.
JEAN
(telepathically)
I think youve let this thing with Hank get ahead of you. And I think youre gonna get yourself hurt.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The group enters a house of mirrors. Reflections of MAGNETO surround them.
KITTY
This is insane. I want out.
OWNER (V/O)
Oh, no, Im sorry. Its not that easy.
INT. ARCADE
The owner smiles.
OWNER
And anyway, things are about to get much more interesting.
INT. MURDERWORLD
The glass shatters. Kitty grabs Jubilee and Rogue, making all three intangible. Gambit shields himself with his coat. Kurt teleports away. John, however, is ripped to shreds by the storm. Rogue shouts.
INT. ARCADE
John awakes, and joins Bobby.
JOHN
I got a bad feeling about this.
The owner continues smiling.
OWNER
Two down. And youre mutants.
He looks at John and Bobby.
OWNER
I think well have to up the ante.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Magneto is at the center of the swirling glass. Jubilee launches fireworks at him, knocking him back. Rogue runs for him, touching his neck with her bare hand. Nothing happens.
JUBILEE
Rogue, theyre robots! Your powers are no good!
ROGUE
Damn it!
Suddenly, Magneto launches an awning toward Rogue. Gambit leaps for her and rolls with her out of the way.
ROGUE
Thanks.
She looks down.
ROGUE
Remy, your leg
Gambits leg has been cut by the awning.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby looks over to Gambit. His leg is bleeding.
BOBBY
What are you
The owner is enthralled by the game, no longer paying attention to Bobby and John.
BOBBY
John, its real.
JOHN
What?
He looks at Gambit.
JOHN
Oh, s.hit.
Bobby ices up and launches at the owner.
BOBBY
Turn it off!
John runs over to the others.
OWNER
Dont unplug them!
John stops and turns.
JOHN
Why shouldnt I?
OWNER
Because if you do, youll kill them. The game has to be turned off firstand only I can do that!
BOBBY
Then do it.
The owner stands up. Bobby is still iced.
OWNER
I wanna see how it ends.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Kitty, Kurt, Jubilee, Rogue, and Gambit search for Magneto in a maze.
KITTY
Okay, this isnt fun anymore.
JUBILEE
Was it ever?
GAMBIT
This guy means business. We gotta get out of here.
Suddenly, Magneto stands before them. He lifts his hand, and the walls of the maze begin to enclose on the mutants.
INT. XAVIERS STUDY
Jean enters.
JEAN
Professor?
XAVIER
Yes, Jean? What is it?
Jean shuts the door.
JEAN
Its Ororo.
XAVIER
So you know?
JEAN
Does anyone else?
Scott enters.
SCOTT
Yeah. We do.
Henry follows him.
HENRY
We have to make this right.
Jean bites her lip.
JEAN
Oh my God I cant believe this is happening.
XAVIER
Ive already spoken with a doctor in Manhattan. They agree that an intervention would be best in this case.
INT. HALLWAY
Jean, Scott, Hank, and Xavier gather outside Ororos room.
HENRY
This is depressingly normal. By our standards, anyway.
JEAN
Tell me about it.
Jean hesitates.
JEAN
(telepathically)
This isnt the place to do this. We cant corner her. Go go wait in the kitchen.
They go. Jean knocks on the door.
JEAN
Ororo?
Ororo opens the door.
ORORO
Jean. Hi.
JEAN
Hey. Could you come down to the kitchen with me? The kids are gone, so its dish duty.
ORORO
And you need me because?
JEAN
City shut down the water.
Ororo raises an eyebrow.
ORORO
Okay.
INT. KITCHEN
Ororo enters. Scott stands by the sink.
SCOTT
ro. We gotta talk.
Ororo turns. Jean and Logan block her way.
ORORO
What is this?
SCOTT
Its an intervention, ro. You need help. You gotta get clean.
ORORO
I dont have a problem!
LOGAN
Yeah, you do.
Xavier joins Scott.
XAVIER
Ive spoken to a clinic, in Manhattan. Its a very good establishment. Youll get the best care there.
ORORO
I dont know whose idea this was, but there is no way in hell that Im going anywhere!
SCOTT
Ororo, you have to listen to us
ORORO
No, I dont.
She storms past them. Henry steps into the room.
HENRY
Ororo. You have to do this.
Ororo takes a deep breath, then collapses into Henrys arms, crying profusely.
ORORO
Oh my God Hank
Henry embraces her.
ORORO
Oh God
Jean embraces Ororo from behind. Logan watches, as do Scott and Xavier.
INT. ARCADE
Bobby watches in horror.
JOHN
Wait. How did you even know to put Magneto and Mystique in there? If you didnt know we were mutants?
The owner smiles.
OWNER
Mystique has used this facility before. Ive helped loads of super villains with their training.
BOBBY
Why?
OWNER
Like Mystique, most of them pay well. And, if Mystique learns that Ive killed you, shell probably pay a hefty sum to yours truly.
John flicks his lighter.
JOHN
Thats it, Im frying him.
BOBBY
No, John! You cant, or theyll die!
OWNER
Good boy.
He turns to the monitor, maliciously.
OWNER
Now watch them squirm.
BOBBY
No!
He attacks the owner.
BOBBY
John! Unplug them!
JOHN
Got it!
John runs to the others and deactivates their headsets.
INT. MURDERWORLD
Suddenly, Kitty blips away.
JUBILEE
Kitty!
Jubilee disappears as well. Rogue looks in fear at Gambit.
ROGUE
Remy, whats goin on?
GAMBIT
I dunno, chére
Then theyre gone, too.
Magneto looks around, confused.
MAGNETO
What the hell ?
INT. ARCADE
The new mutants collectively come to. Rogue is up in no time, approaching the owner while removing a glove.
ROGUE
All right, what the hell?
OWNER
Look, I didnt mean it!
KITTY
Oh, we see. You didnt mean to kill us. Everythings okay, then.
JUBILEE
Like hell. Im zapping him.
She charges forward. Kitty grabs her shoulder.
KITTY
Whoa, Jubes. Sarcasm.
JUBILEE
Oh, right.
Gambit rounds on the owner.
GAMBIT
This was all bout money, right?
OWNER
Of course.
GAMBIT
Well, you tried to kill us. You failed. End of story?
OWNER
I got nothing against you.
GAMBIT
Good. See you round.
Kurts eyes widen.
KURT
Wait, thats it?!
GAMBIT
Yup, thats it. Lets go.
EXT. STREET-DAY
They exit the arcade.
JOHN
Well, Gambit, that was really a great idea. Somehow, I think Xavier would be a lot less pissed if you just got us drunk, which, by the way, was my idea in the first place.
GAMBIT
Seriously, Allerdyce, its three in the afternoon. And shut up.
John makes a face.
KITTY
So I kinda wanna go do biology homework now. Which is weird.
KURT
Definitely weird.
Kitty takes Bobbys hand.
BOBBY
Well we do complain about not going on missions.
ROGUE
Yeah, Ill never do that again.
JUBILEE
Two of us died. No wonder they dont let us go up against Mystique.
GAMBIT
Hope thats a lesson well learned for all of you.
John scoffs.
GAMBIT
Im looking at you, Allerdyce.
JOHN
Yeah, yeah.
EXT. NEW YORK CITY-DAY
Jean and Ororo pull up outside an rehab clinic.
EXT. REHAB CLINIC-DAY
Jean and Ororo exit Xaviers Rolls Royce.
JEAN
Take some time. Sober up.
ORORO
Who knew? Me, an alcoholic.
JEAN
No one thinks any less of you.
They hug, tearfully.
JEAN
Get clean.
ORORO
I will. Ill come back. I promise.
They part. Ororo begins to go inside.
JEAN
Good luck.
ORORO
Thank you, Jean. For everything.
Ororo goes inside, and the door closes.
