X-Men TV Show Comment was Foreshadowing

Further, what makes people so convinced that an MCU FF would do GOTG numbers? The brand has been so thoroughly eviscerated that it is most likely too toxic for even Marvel to touch. Maybe years down the road but not now. I just don't see it.

For people who somehow think that time will wash away the public's perception of a major box office bomb, I have three words for you:

Howard the Duck.

A brilliant, satiric comic that nearly saved Marvel back in the day, one with a huge following that became a legit icon. For a time, Marvel's most popular character.

One bad movie was all it took. Now we have comic book fans who should know better who groaned during his post-credits scene. Alleged comic book fans who don't even want to entertain the idea of Howard coming back in any form.

That's what a bad movie can do to a property.

FF is not comparable to Howard The Duck, who in essence is a joke character. The Fantastic Four's dilemma is more akin to Daredevil prior to his Netflix show. And considering people are more aware of this stuff through social media, giving time to the team, whilst also planting seeds is enough.
