Get back a Marvel property today, at the cost of losing the other for 20 years...

Spider-Man. MCU doesn't need the X-Men whatsoever and honestly they work better in their own little corner.

I agree. Plus I'd love to see Spider-Man exchange quips with Tony Stark.

X-Men are better alone.

Spidey could work very well with the other superheroes from MCU.

Both are better alone. Neither will benefit from having Nick fury or Black Widow running around in their movies.

Neither X-men or Spider-man.

I'd want Fantastic Four back at Marvel.

Mostly so I can see the Skrulls in an Avengers movie.

Seems people want Spider-Man at Disney to have him tossed into The Avengers mix.

Want Wolverine at Disney to add him to The Avengers bunch

And have Fantastic Four at Disney to use the villians as, you guessed it, Avenger Villians.

Feige announced that Namor's rights are still at Universal. I wonder how that's possible? They certainly should have reverted by now. It makes me wonder if this situation has any bearing on the fact that Universal hasn't yet sold the distribution rights back to Marvel for TIH?

That means that as of now:

Fox: X-Men, Fantastic Four
Sony: Spider-Man
Universal: Namor

Interesting, people can't say studios are only making movies to retain rights and bah blah, whine, whine crap anymore since Namor as never been used and hasn't reverted

What baffles me more is why Universal bothered to keep it. They clearly weren't interested in doing much more with Hulk, after all, so why bother keeping a right your doing even less with?

We'll probably get an Aquaman movie before we ever see a Namor one. To me, Namor doesn't really work by himself without any other known Marvel characters with him.

Universal should give the Namor rights to FOX!

I always want to see Namor work with the Fantastic Four.

Yeah, I don't understand why anybody would want Namor as a solo property in the first place. He's a villain/supporting character. Unless you also have Fantastic Four or Avengers or X-Men, he's useless.

It's like buying the rights to Norman Osborne and only Norman Osborne.

EDIT: I don't actually particularly care if we ever get Namor on screen or not. I am just having trouble understanding from Universal's perspective the value in him as a solo property.

Sounds like the best option for using him with other heroes.

Namor has been mostly associated with Fantastic Four and X-Men.

Marvel cut some very bad deal in the late 90s, but it's highly unlikely that Universal would have the ability to transfer Disney intellectual property to a third party without their approval.

Spidey.

Though I like the X-Men being apart of the MU, I think they're just fine not being in a connected universe. Spider-Man, however, feels weird being the only superhero in the world; I love seeing Spidey interact with other heroes in the comics & I hope we get to see him alongside Daredevil or the Avengers on the big screen eventually

Perhaps some of you should do some research before dismissing people's concerns. Universal has made 2 recent attempts to make a Namor film. Once in 2006 and once in 2009.(Johnathan Mostow was attached) So with that in mind no one here knows how long the last acquisition for the character was for. Fox had Daredevil sitting around for 9 years before it reverted back.

Anyway I doubt Universal will do anything with it so why should Marvel buy it back? In all likelihood it'll revert back soon. Unless Universal does get cute and makes a lame attempt to hold Namor at bay for some cash. But if Disney won't forcefully buy back F4 why bother with Namor? They all know he's nothing without other Marvel characters to support him anyway.

Id rather have the fantastic four than spidey. Spidey though.
actually what i want even more is to see spider-man meet the fantastic four. Thatd just feel so right.
