Still sucks, and it still hurts.

I'm planning to make a new fan edit for X-Men 3 using scenes and score from Apocalypse. I will intergrate Jean/Scott/Xavier material as flashbacks to hopefully add more soul and character depth, and make up for their lacking screen-time.

They re released it at Best Buy with a gorgeous Phoenix steel cover. Unfortunately the disc is missing several deleted scenes from the extras.

Most hated x-movie for me!!
Cyclops is useless, some characters are useless, runtime is short .... Useless movie

DoFP and FC makes X3 watchable.. the whole Beast struggling with the cure in FC subplot resonates in X3 and DoFP fixing the deaths.

I thought it was a bad movie even when I watched it the first time in theaters back when I was 16.

I'm surprised by the amount of positive reviews it got. Just sloppy storytelling.

watching it now for the first time in 10years, forgot how cringe worthy some of the scenes are
my god

still love jean's theme though

I do think - though incredibly flawed - it also had some of the best scenes of any X-Men movie to date (ie. The Jean vs Xavier battle in the house and the end scene where Jean destroys Alcatraz)

It's just weird how it was either SO bad or SO good. No middle ground.

Also, as a Phoenix fan since I first saw the animated series when I was 5 years old... I'm still upset by how they handled that.

I dunno. I don't really see it being either SO GOOD or SO BAD in parts.
X-Men: The Last Stand is actually a quite unremarkable, middle of the ground sci-fi action movie, and has actually a lot in common with some of those generic young adult adaptation, with some being neither terrible, but not good either.
It's just an okay and forgettable 90 minutes of action, with some dumb decisions in between (the deaths of Professor X and Cyclops).
It sure ain't one of the worst movies ever. It's just mediocre... and dumb.
