Xbox 360 headsets don't seem to work?

My headset started to cut out so i bought a new one and it did the same thing.So i took it back and bought a wireless one instead and it still cuts out.What is making it do this?

Fixed it,I locked my router,before it was unlocked and my entire apartment complex was sharing it with me.
