Xbox 360 Help

Okay... I haven't played my 360 for over a week.

I put in Gears of War to play online, and the disc won't read.

I've tried 4 games total, and the thing at the bottom of the screen says:

"Reading"

and then after 30 seconds or so, it says:

"Open Tray"

I believe I'll have to resort to getting a new 360, but has this ever happened to anyone?

Do other games work?
Try cleaning the disc.

Dust on the laser? i know the ps2 had the same problem, to fix that when it did it i blew into the tray bay try and move the dust of it.

I went to GameStop with an expired warranty and they STILL gave me a new one.

Parts warranty is for 3 years though aint it? Either way

I did it to mine, lol. The ring of light on the system when vertical used to flicker from 1 to 2 for no reason. Threw it against my wall, tumbled onto my bed, stopped being all glitchy.

360's are getting call backs from stores and stuff cause the lasers are messed. Some lasers melt the discs

When did you get your Xbox? Coz if you got it under a year ago, you're entitled to a free warranty check. This same thing happened with me, but to DVDs and then games and luckily I sent if off to be fixed free of charge
