If you head over to www.ign.com into the 360 area, its got 'leaked' photos and reports about 360 2.0.

120GBHDD and a built-in HDD-DVD player....sounds interesting.

Dammit you beat me to it! Guess ill be ebaying my 360 soon...

Ever wonder why Microsoft hasn't released an HDMI cable for the Xbox 360, or whether the AV port was really capable of digital out? Well, here's your answer: we landed pictures of what appears to be the second Xbox 360 -- the Xbox 360 v2, if you will -- codenamed Zephyr. (The original Xbox 360, if you recall, was codenamed Xenon.) The long rumored about and awaited update to the console won't just feature a new, cooler 65nm processor, it's also finally added an HDMI port for full digital 1080p pleasure, as well as a 120GB drive, just what the doctor ordered. The 120GB drive may or may not come bundled with the kit, we don't yet know, just as we also don't yet know how much a Zephyr 360 is going to run (we imagine it'll go for the same price as currently so they can keep up a little on their expanding margin). But our very kind Xbox insider seemed happy to let us know we'd be able to get them "soon."

*Happy that I didn't buy a 360 yet* :D

This is some complete, grade-A bull****!:cmad:

if it really does come out at $400, it's a big fat slap in the face to everyone that's already bought a 360 and/or hd-dvd drive.

I think price will be like this:
Core system: 200
Premium: 300
HDMI/120gig Premium: 400

I hope its the truth.

I'll buy the 360.2 and have both set up so i can play with my younger cousins on live. I hope this is for real though.

Wow. You've got to be kidding me.

I wish it were so...actually now i dont. I can't wait for the 360.2.

sorry, if they did that, it would be the biggest spit in the face that any videogame company has given consumers.

"hey, you just bought our console a year ago, and more than likely it malfunctioned on you... so, now we're going to release a console that would cost you $700 dollars or more if you bought it all seperate a month ago, but for $400! what you paid for the inferior version at launch! wee!"

Oh please, lets find cheap ways to hate on Microsoft.

Should original Gameboy owners feel pissed they don't have a GBA?
Should original DS owners feel pissed off they didn't get a DSL?
Should original PSone owners feel pissed off they didn't get a Dual Shock?
Should original PS2 owners feel pissed off they didn't get a slim?
Should original iPod owners feel pissed off they don't have a nano?

It's the nature of business (and electronics in particular) to evolve your product. M$ knows this better than most - and just because they don't follow conventional timelines shouldn't mean they alienate their customer base.

There is no feature (save for the smaller cpu) that the original v1 xb360's won't be able to upgrade to eventually. Heck, the v2 model hasn't even been officially discussed by Microsoft. I think all the current owners who are moaning about how "unfair" it is needs to step back, take a deep breath & gain some perspective.

Nothing personal, strictly business.

People want reasons to hate M$... but in this case its just a knee jerk reaction... and a stupid one. Microsoft hasn't even given a spec sheet, yet people are already saying they are splitting the market. It's stupid. Plain stupid.

Wait and see, then *****. Right now, they are only making a good thing better - and history tells us that is what always happens. Furthermore, all the enhancements are potential add-ons to existing hardware.

Boo hoo. Cry me a river.

Built in Hd-dvd player? Where does it say that?

There is no built-in HD-DVD player... Microsoft reps are calling it "possibly the next Beta-Max."

Blu-ray and HD-DVD will both go the way of DVD-Audio, Super Audio CD, Digital Compact Cassette, and other failed formats

I said that before I figured it out. Wow.

On the new The Doors box set the entire album is remastered in 5.1 on DVD-A and its fantastic. It's a small medium but I dont know if it's failed

My mistake about the HD-DVD player. I read it on another website that was posting about the same stuff.

Sorry:yay:

How much do you think this would cost? Many people say it will be more than a Playstation 3?
