rest assured, theres alot of people that want x-files 2 to happen- but at the moment it's stuck in limbo over legal issues/rights. Apparently there have been a few scripts written over the years.
Duchovny and Anderson have both expressed interest in another - duchovny going so far to say that the franchise could continue in movie form and be more "viable than mission impossible."
It will be a stand-alone however (which imo the first should have been)
Totally disagree with those that say the show dropped in quality before mulder left- Season 8 was a great season, on par with any other especially the last episode where mulder and scully become lovers- that was handled very well.
Sure Season 9 suffered from a lack of Mulder- but hey at least they tried...plus the final episode was still pretty cool. John Doggett was a great character- would definately want to see more of him in a movie.
I'd love to see an X-Files 2- as long as it didnt feel like a tv-movie. Plus I'm not sure how they'll deal with the fact the two are a couple either.
