xmen animated series vs jla cartoon series

i meant his powers as well

Well, der. That would make Superman a normal human then. Anyone can beat a normal human. Superman isn't some martial artist or tracker. Without his powers, Superman is just some normal guy.

You can't go off claiming Wolverine vs. Superman without powers as a fair fight, or even a fight for that matter.

Instead of a character war; which, you guys seem to be brewing here, how about comparing the animation, storylines/arcs, and other things about the series. Then you could see where both series stands. Obviously, one was made before the other so the JL/JLU series has the cutting edge, sort of, animation tricks. That's just for starters *raises flame shield and mentions that he likes both shows very much*

ive watched plenty and there cool and all that. i cracked up on that war world episode where those dudes where knocking the crap out of superman and look how small they are compared to others. hulk or juggernaut would knock those guys out in a sec.
Well Hulk and Juggernaut can kick Superman's ass. I know that for sure. It's just that Wolverine doesn't stand a snowball's chance in hell...Wolverine gets beat by Cyclops. Superman has Cyclops' powers and then some.

...Wouldn't a more fair battle for the X-men be against the Teen Titans? I think they stand a better chance there. As someone mentioned earlier, The Justice League are akin to The Avengers.

hulk and juggernaut have already gotten there butts kicked by supes. im surprised they put supes beating thor. any crossover you see there always gonna put superman to win even if it doesnt make sense. cause superman is the #1 hero and most everyone in the world wants him to win. well thats one thing thats boring about supes is that they always put him to win.

No he doesn't. His senses are nowhere near the level of DD. They are pretty accurate though...Which is why I brought up that Batman can piss him off into a berzerker rage.

Tear gas (eyes and nose)
Sonic pulse (or whatever it is that only dogs can hear. Takes care of the hearing.)

Stand back in the dark and watch him freak and slash at everything, screaming his lungs out, and then throw an explosive baterang at the back of his neck. Knocks the guy unconscious. Game, set, match.
if batman pisses off wolverine then he will get his but kicked for sure. same as hulk for example when u piss him off.

well hulk and juggernaut have already gotten there butts kicked from supes. didnt make sense what he did to thor. but any crossover you see with supes in it there always gonna put him to win cause hes the #1 hero and many fans all over the world mostly want supes to win. well im not one of them. i say supes is boring cause he always wins which is stupid cause theres many more powerful guys than him. hmmm how come they havent made a crossover supes vs living tribunal ?

actually hulk and juggernaut have already gotten there butts kicked but by supes. he beat thor as well which didnt make sense. any crossover you see with superman in it there always gonna put him to win cause hes the #1 superhero and most everyone wants everyone to win. well im not one of them. i think superman is boring cause he always wins even if hes fighting some guy more powerful than him. hmm how come they didnt make a crossover with supes and living tribunal ?

When Wolverine goes into a berzerker rage, not even he knows what he's doing. He doesn't think straight. You have a savage animal going up against a master manipulator. In this state Wolverine does not stand a chance. He barely even stands a chance when he's level-headed as is.

I like both shows about the same. JLU has the better animation but it was made 10 years after x-men. But for its time x-men animation was great and so were the story lines it looked like they jumped right out of the comic.

With all of the powerful Mutants in the world against JL AND JLU? Hands down Xmen. Scarlet Witch would just go " No more JLU"

The Scarlet Witch never even joined the X-Men. In neither the animated series or the comics. The Scarlet Witch is not allowed to be a factor.

And Bendis really f**ked up her character too

The only reason the Justice League wins this battle is because they are ridiculously overpowered. That's why I've always liked the X-Men/Marvel characters better.

They are a little more three dimensional and more relatable then the DC characters.

And um, Phoenix = Jean. Jean is Phoenix and Phoenix is Jean. The Phoenix forced picked Jean out well before it took over her body. It as even been explained that The Phoenix has always been apart of Jean since her powers manifested.

I like X-Men:TAS for the acton, sound effects (weren't they cool?!), characters, stories (although they me seem overly simplistic to me now (maybe not, I'd have to see). By the way, did they ever release the series? like a DVD set? they did with the Fantastic Four. Speaking of the FF DVD set, who else likes those menu tracks? (the music played when your on one of the various menus in the DVDs).

We all understand about the god damned Phoenix. But a superhero army that includes AMAZO (an android which can mimic her powers), Zatanna (a witch that can take away her powers), the Martian Manhunter (an extremely powerful telepath, though nowhere near the Phoenix's level), scientific geniuses (Batman, Steel, the Atom) and basically an army of 60+ superheroes, the Phoenix would just have too hard a time to be victorious.

No dvd set and sense disney owns the rights we won't see one anytime soon.

professor x could stop zantana in a sec before he gets a chance to do that.

Well I guess this guy would be considered the most powerful mutant in history around here.

As for comparing the two animated shows, isn't it kinda unfair since The X-Men Animated Series debuted all the way back in 1992, while Justice League is fairly recent (21st century). Animation has improved vastly since 1992, so of course JL would take the cake as well there.

But X-Men The Animated Series was one of the most mature cartoon series out there during it's time. The stories and themes that they carried were kinda complex for a Saturday morning cartoon on Fox Kids.

But was it explained that way in the animated series? This is the key phrase here that so many people are blatantly ignoring, including the thread's starter. If you're comparing the animated series, you have to remain within the animated series' boundaries.

The Martian Manhunter would be the one to combat Xavier

Martian Manhunter takes out Xavier, Zatanna takes out Jean Grey. Simple. If not by herself then by the sheer overwhelming power of the Justice League. I would like to see Jean battle the Martian Manhunter and The Flash at the same time while Zatanna, god knows where, sipping a cup of tea, can say "Yerg Naej, Eid" and be done with it.
