I like the design of the title, but there's an uneven number of titles between the two brands now.

What a fantastic tournament! Presenting it as a sport as opposed to entertainment makes you almost think Vince had no idea this was going on...lol.

Good for him for backing off and letting Trips run this according to his vision. This thing was awesome from start to finish!

I am happy they made the obvious point of crowning the winner the first champion. Considering a lot of these guys will be around after the tournament, winning it didn't quite mean as much with the belt.

TJ Perkins automatically restores the credibility of the title that was tainted with the last champion.

Anyone think it is weird the title looks like a Smackdown belt?

Man, they just don't design championship belts like they used to.

That's a solid design. I'm glad it's got more details on the centre plate than the other new singles titles.

So the new CW Title has new linage starting with TJP......although it will be interesting to see what happens if they sign Tajiri and he wins the title.

My only real nitpick is that the details combined with the dark color kind of blend together if the lighting is off just slightly. A little paint to make the text and logo stand out more would make a difference.

I also like that it kinda looks like a police badge

I really thought it was going to come down to Ibushi Vs. Sabre, but Perkins was one of my favorite wrestlers in TNA and I absolutely mark the FU** out when he pulled the upset tonight. Couldn't happen to a better guy. Congratulations, Manik!

I love wrestling. The CWC reminded me exactly why I tune in each week, sometimes suffering through some frustrating decisions, storylines and pushes.

Wow. What an amazing series. I had a smile on my face nearly the entire final. This is the stuff you show a non-fan or someone on the fence about wanting to get into wrestling.

I can't thank the wrestlers, creative team, production team and announcers enough for an absolutely flawless show. It's so good to be a fan of wrestling right now.

I had to leave for work so i only saw the first half of the show. Can't wait to see the finals, but i already got spoiled by the darn wwe app.

Liv Morgan challenging Askua for the title. Her NXT appearances were only for jobbing six weeks ago. Glad they acknowledged the women's division on NXT being cleared out by the draft.

Who would of thought former TNA guys like Samoa Joe, AJ Styles and TJP would be WWE champs?

Why Joe Why? :woot:

Nice angry acting from William Regal.

Samoa Joe hanging out the window with his "I do what I want" Loki swag.
Shield 2.0?
The Authors Of Pain aka Bebop and Rocksteady
He's on f***ing turntable! How awesome is that entrance?
That Roode entrance was awesome. They are really making him feel like something special.
The hypocrisy with Cena is that he continually said he had NO interest in Hollywood or doing things outside of WWE. He said those things while putting down the Rock for leaving the company. Now that Cena has done everything there is to do in the business and is winding down he's doing the exact same thing. People act as if Rock just did one movie then up and left, when in reality it was a slow transition. Rock did a movie here and there while being a full timer, then he became a part time while doing more films, but he also made it a point to put lots of guys over before he WWE schedule was pulled back even more. The only reason Rock ever stopped appearing on WWE TV was because WWE let his contract expire with little to no fanfare and never even called him to negotiate a new contract.

Rock did exactly what most guys should do in the WWE if they've been at the top for a extended period of time. I'm glad to see Cena winding down so he has a life after WWE and isn't a broken down shell.

I want to see more guys be like Rock when their career is over than like Flair.

I 100% agree with you.

I have far more respect for guys that know when to bow out gracefully than those that hang around and try to hog the spotlight well past their prime.

I had no problem with the Rock leaving to do films and I have no problem with Cena leaving to do other stuff.

Big Show is apparently retiring at the end of the year.

Kane probably doesn't have long left. He is nearly 50.

So another TNA guy wins a title in WWE, ok now I'm sure that Hunter has Vince tied up and gagged in a broom closet somewhere and has taken of running WWE himself. ;)

I support The Rock as an actor and appreciate what he did for WWE. I'm not sure why anyone expects fans not to harbor some resentment towards him and other part timers considering the WWE world stops when they show up and everyone we invest time into as fans on a regular basis become second class citizens, generally around WrestleMania time. Certainly that's WWE's decision not theirs but they're the face of our frustration.

I like the champ, and the design. Reminds me of a boxing belt.

The CWC was a triumph, start to finish. Some of the best wrestling matches of the year, and really strong, emotionally charged storytelling as well. Not only easily the best wrestling content of the year for me, but each year I write a little Top 10 list of the best TV shows of the year, and CWC will be the first time a wrestling show is included up with the year's best dramas and comedies.

I hope that the momentum can be carried forward into the Cruiserweight Division on Raw, but I have my doubts. These guys looked like superstars with the presentation of CWC, being allowed to be their best selves and fully showcase what they can do. But will they look as good with the A-Grade commentary of Daniel Bryan and Mauro Ranello replaced with Cole and co joking with each other and ignoring them at the announce booth? Or with shorter matches gutted by ill-timed commercial breaks? How long can Vince and the writing staff resist the urge to "give them personalities" in the form of silly gimmicks, or have Braun Strowman or whoever just walk out and squash both the competitors of a cruiserweight match as part of a storyline to get them heat at the cruiserweights' expense?

A lot of potential pitfalls. But for now at least, WWE seem committed to this "new era" so I'll hope for the best.

Paige isn't leaving WWE and that's a good thing.
