Not really....

Brock is still seen as being much stronger than the rest of the roster. Brock just lost to a guy that has destroyed some of the biggest names in the history of the business.
What does it matter beating Brock now? He lost to a non-wrestler. This is just like beating Undertaker at Mania after Brock. It doesn't matter.

I don't see this as wasting Brock or making the rest of the roster look bad. Brock just got beaten by a guy whose entire gimmick is that he beats everybody else.

Except Goldberg didn't beat everybody else, and he certainly hasn't done a damn thing in 12 years. This is Hogan booking at the worst.

You know what would have been relevant? If someone who is going to be with the company doing that. If it was Joe, if it was Nakamura, that would matter. That would mean something. This does nothing but make Brock look weak, and thus the rest of the roster look weak. Because they are dwarfed by him constantly.

I liked it. I would have liked a full match but this was definitely shocking. I'm not a fan of Lesnar squashing everyone so it's kind of a treat to see it happen to him for once.

I...

...uh...

...

...

...didn't see that coming. I mean, it's awesome to see Goldberg beat Lesnar from a fanboy perspective. I'm happy that Goldberg got to return and presumably go out on top. But from a logical and booking standpoint, I am lost completely. I'm not angry at all. I just don't understand it whatsoever. Brock Lesnar is the special attraction who beat the Undertaker, Cena, HHH, and Orton and he loses to a man who hasn't wrestled in over 12 years and gets legitimately squashed in the process.

Congratulations to Vince McMahon for making me almost as shocked as when Lesnar beat the Undertaker.

So they menstruated Taker'so streak rub on a part timer?

Good thing I don't watch this **** anymore.

Ghastly. Abhorrent. Trumpian.

No, Brock lost to GOLDBERG. The same guy that completely dominated all of WCW and the entire Raw Roster during his last runs. The same guy that beat Brock clean at Wrestlemania.

You're acting like Brock hasn't taken losses before and it not ruined his cred.

This.

The only dude more kayfabe powerful than Goldberg is probably Ultimate Warrior. And it was clear at this point that no one else would be allowed to beat Lesnar clean.

I have to admit, I love when WWE goes all no f**ks given mode with their booking for shock value sometimes.

Another thing I liked, TORONTO DIDN'T BOO GOLDBERG!

Vince McMahon is so lucky that Canada didn't boo Goldberg like some people predicted. That ending would have been Roman Reigns x 10000000.

I agree 100%. I can't even be mad because I was surprised like hell.

They can still salvage this. Have Goldberg resume Brock's role and actually rub it on a full timer this time.

You have to be being obtuse or just fanboying to a degree where you just don't want to be rationale. Goldberg is irrelevant. He isn't going to be putting over the guys on this roster. You know who can? Brock. What just happened to him? He was embarrassed. You seem to think bad booking in the past, like makes even worse booking now okay. It doesn't.

By the way, the reason Brock vs. Goldberg wasn't for the belt at WM XX, is because Goldberg consistently couldn't beat HHH. So yeah, not all that unstoppable. :funny:

I think Goldberg will have a few more matches. Including a loss to Lesnar.

It would make sense in my head if Brock attacked afterwards, like he let himself get pinned just to get Goldberg to drop his guard or some BS like that. Or if Taker appeared and had a staredown with Goldberg. IDK

Who wants to bet it was a squash match because Bill was nowhere near ring shape?

This.

Which is exactly why both Warrior and Goldberg were short term draws, who had no impact when normal wrestlers, and never actually got anyone else over.

I read a tweet that predicted that Bret Hart was going to come out and cost Goldberg the match for ending his career. That would have been, well, interesting in a parallel universe.
