I've found some very entertaining webseries and short films on You Tube. Some of them could even make very good feature length films or television series. Here are some of my favourites:
My Roommate The . . .
This is a series of shorts about a guy and his long list of roommates who are, shall we say less than desirable. Some of the episodes are more entertaining than others, but that's par for the course with any series. The titles of some of my favourites? "My Roommate The Pedophile", "My Roommate The Sex Addict", "My Roommate The Good Roommate", "My Roommate The Porn Star", "My Roommate The Athlete", "My Roommate The Time Traveler", just to name a few.
Adventure Call
This is a British comedy sketch. The sketch itself wouldn't translate well to a full 30 minute program, but I'd love to see something similar added to SNL. A character named "Falconhoof" hosts a call in D&D style adventure show called "Adventure Calls". The callers are always either really stupid, or really strange, but in a funny way.
Mister J
This is a series of fan film spin offs from The Dark Knight by Blinky Productions. They start with The Joker's therapy sessions with Dr Harlene Quinzel, his gradual seduction of her and her desent into madness. Then they move on to The Joker's escape from Arkham, and Joker & Harley's reign of terror. There's also "Happy Birthday From Mister J" and "Happy Holidays From Mister J". The guy who made these videos also plays the role of Joker, and you would swear he was the reincarnation of Heath Ledger while watching them.
Standard Action
A D&D comedy/adventure series. Four rather inept adventurers team up to fight the forces of evil. The characters are the four lamest character classes available in D&D version 3.5. There's an elvish barbarian, a half-halfling bard, a human druid, and a human sorceress.
