But since the general goal of language is to understand and to be understood, I would think being somewhere in the vicinity of proper grammar would be something to shoot for...

Take this for example:

In my world real friendship is a fantasy. If one is too normal and/or too strange,team stock hate's that stuff...they try to keep it a 'secret'.

I've never read Doe's "the world" to be able to give you a straight answer as to whether or not it could use more perfectionist freaks. Was the plot any good? Did it have a good narrative..?

Because I still have no idea what your original point was, it's possible (however unlikely) that you had a good point and wrapped it in a coccoon of poor grammar.

I'm not going to just agree or disagree with something when I've no idea what it is that I'm agreeing or disagreeing with. Until I get more information the only sensible thing would be to remain neutral.

You post on a discussion board, put a large number of the posters there on your "ignore list" and when you make a post that someone else doesn't understand because of your own poor use of grammar you would prefer to get into an argument trivialising said rules of grammar, rather than expand on your own original post..?

Might I suggest you start a diary instead..? That way you can continue to pour out your inane ramblings without need to tie it to any socially agreed upon language. You'd also shield yourself from criticism, which you've made it abundantly clear you can't take.

It may be better for all concerned...

You should check out his thread about having a good vocabulary, and that he's glad he has one.

I just put two chancers on my ignore list today, life is too short to give attention to boring b******s who have got nothing better to do than go on the wind up all day. Previously on message boards i have put folk on ignore, and then removed them within 24hrs, but i have been told I am 'friendly to a fault' sometimes, like, I am partial to wanting everybody to get on etc, the hippy in me, but some people are just mean spirited little gits with no lifes, and it's better if those types don't get the attention they crave.
If they are interesting weirdos, then that's a differnet matter, you can get a laugh out of their crap, but the genuine bores, no, you don't get to sit at my dinner table matey boy.

No, that's what it was interpreted as.

I made a snide remark sarcastically about not believing that her pics were real, because she acted exactly like a girl that I knew in real life - a girl who constantly had to butt her nose into my business when she wasn't included in my business. It got misinterpreted as being me saying that I thought she was posting fake pictures.

The reason why I put her on my ignore list though was because I got tired of her snide remarks towards me regarding my personal life and my personal decisions.
