Just wanted to get a feel for everyone's favorite franchises.

Prior to me installing a poll, just want to get a feel for which should and shouldn't be included.

Here are the definites:

James Bond
Star Wars (OT, PT, TFA & RO)
Marvel Cinematic Universe
JK Rowling's Wizarding World (Harry Potter & Fantastic Beasts)
Middle Earth (LOTR and Hobbit)
Star Trek (Original 6, New Generation & Reboots)
X-Men
Fast and the Furious
DCEU
Planet of the Apes
Mission Impossible
Transformers
Terminator
Alien
Predator
Indiana Jones

Now there are other franchises that I could add,
Friday the 13th
Halloween
Pink Panther
Nightmare on Elm Street
Ice Age
Hannibal Lecter
Shrek (Including Puss N. Boots)
Resident Evil
Bourne

Now for the Superheroes, should Superman, Batman and Spider-Man get their own separate listings?

Should I extend to trilogies?

Am I forgetting anything else?

You forgot an important franchise : from the 1st to most recent

I used to love X-Men but I hate the direction now.X-Men should be in the present times. So screw that franchise.

I like Planet of the Apes, Star Trek reboot, Kingsman. Mcu is interesting as always but not my cup of tea.

As for the list, you forgot Toy Story, The Mummy, National Treasure, Matrix, Speed, Monsters Inc, Cloudy, Tomb Raider, Cars, Rio, Narnia, Night at the Museum, Scream, Conjuring, Final Destination, Scream, Pirates of Carribbran, Finding Fish, How to Train a Dragon, Ocean's, Underworld, Twilight, Divergent, Maze Runner, Fantastic Four, Blade, Sin City, Silent Hill and Hellboy to name a few.

The Middle Earth franchise is my absolute favourite. Yep, even The Hobbit films. :oldrazz: As a life long Tolkien fan I know they're godawful, massively over bloated adaptions of the book, but I genuinely love An Unexpected Journey (the best of the trilogy by far) and I think the casting, acting, costumes and set design are wonderful. I just love immersing myself in Peter Jackson's Middle Earth.

Second for me would be the MCU. The two franchises incidentally share a lot of the same actors. :woot:

I enjoy other franchises like Star Wars, Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park and pretty much any long running horror franchise, but not quite to the extent of the two above.

Back to the Future trilogy, for me is as near dammit to perfection as you can get.

1. Star Wars
2. Marvel Cinematic Universe
3. Indiana Jones
4. Harry Potter
5. Lord of the Rings

Hmm, am I the only who thinks there's really only one good Indiana Jones movie?

No particular order.
Batman
Middle Earth
DCEU
MCU
Star Trek
Alien
Star Wars
Bourne
Matrix
The Raid
Mission Impossible
Bond
Terminator
Pirates of Caribbean
Home Alone

Last Crusade is pretty awesome but it's the weakest of the three Indy films.

Temple of Doom>Last Crusade.

At the risk of sounding like I'm just looking for an argument: Temple of Doom is the weakest IMO.

I enjoy semi-watching Crusade but there are moments in ToD that I find intolerable.

Raiders was lightning in a bottle. It helped that the sequels were made by Spielberg at the top of his game but even then they couldn't quite reach the level of the original.

Doom is solid but for me, and I wouldn't say ruin, as that's too harsh a word, but Willy is just 'too much', her constant screaming and whining is way too much, I appreciate its the classic 80's damsel in distress role but even by dated standards it's way over the top, bar her, the story and action are top notch.

Willy is not the only thing that's dated about Temple.

'Crusade' was the weakest of the original trilogy. Too much comedy.
