Your a man who prefers style over substance, judging by your selection in movies. You're not especially worried about deep characters as long as the ending is shocking or heart-felt, or hits you hard. In the end, your more interested in being entertain and kept on your edge of your seat. Also you prefer a more flashy style of cinematography/editing.

1. Donnie Darko
2. Waiting
3. Shaun of the Dead
4. Thank You For Smoking
5. Batman Begins

(not in any order)

Your a fan of post-modern cinema, you enjoy watching a film that subtly references the films or themes you grew up with as a kid. You enjoy a film that'll engage your mind intellectually but not to the point where it over-takes the film, because in the end it's the story that matters. You have some variety in taste but more specifically your a genre kind of guy, and you love to see a good deal of action.

Nice post Movies! :) You've eveloped it right.

I shall think about my list, although it might be rather tricky give me a sec...

1. Fight Club
2. Memento
3. Raiders of the Lost Ark
4. The Godfather, part II
5. The Prestige

Your age and passion for movies show in this list. First off is the inclusion of Raiders of the Lost Ark and Godfather, Part 2 both are a bit older than the other three movies, however they keep in line with style over substance and are the pre-cursor to post-modern films. Obviously you enjoy a film that engages you as an aspiring film-maker so you expect a good deal of style and subtle references/improvements on what come before, however story isn't nearly as important as it being entertaining, though it needs to be there in some fashion and not just a means to blow **** up, though you enjoy **** being blown up :)

I think you are still developing your own unique taste in movies. But with some of these classics and popular movies you have made a good start. Tight fast movies but Godfather 2 shows you can have the patience for long ones.

2. One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest
3. Goodfellas
4. The Good, The Bad and the Ugly

An addrenline junkee, noticing the high level of 80s movies found on your list along wiht Serenity, you enjoy movies that feature characters doing the impossible, living impossible lives in a world that mirrors are own on the surface however it's a world where the laws of gravity are merely a suggestion. You like hard thrills in the most showy fashion, however you inclusion of Robocop, 12 Monkeys, and Minority Report show that you can appriciate a good subtext amidst high-octane movie, and actually prefer it when it can be found as long as it's not pretencious. In the end you like a movie that has a character you can get behind, doing things that you'll never do and most of all is highly entertaining.

That's nice to hear :) You got it right!

P.S. Where is your list?

Star Wars
The Empire Strikes Back
Ghostbusters
Superman The Movie
Star Trek: First Contact

Your inclusion of ST: FC and Star Wars is interesting in that when Star Trek started it wasn't very soap-operish like Star Wars, however in the 80s with the movies came more emphasis on character, less on sci-fi, and more Space Opera. Coupled with Ghostbuster and Superman The Movie, it suggests something different than the addreline junkie, you prefer the fantasy epic, you like to be taken out of your world and somewhere completely new but with relatably characters, who have real feelings, and could very well be someone you could meet in the local super-market. Your a close relative of the addrenline junkie, however you are not the same.
