I ran on the IMDb boards for a time. Going back a decade or so now. I trolled and I trolled hard. The dumb ones will be easy. Of that I have no doubt. But, they're just pawns. The real trolls will be scouting. Seeing what they can get away with. They'll seem constructive at first. Model posters. Maybe one of them will even become a mod. They're patient like that. But they'll be picking their targets. Innocuous, but just controversial enough statements to see who gets riled up easily first. Do you get a bug up your ass if someone makes a simple criticism against Marvel? You'll be first. Do you blatantly suck up to the mods? You'll need to do better than passive agressive gifs and out of context TiVo quotes. Are you a WWII denier? They'll eat you alive.
