You've Been Scammed: The I Suck At Life Thread

What if he likes dudes?
(dont put me on probation).

The caption is priceless.

To the point, this **** is pissing me off, more and more. How does these people live with themselves, how the hell is this company making money, and why isn't someone in jail?

Leading people on, asking them to work without pay, etc.
Not to mention, possibly, not sending the product to customers. I may not be a cop. . . but, uh. . that's stealing.

For real. I know this is outside of your day-to-day; but can't you look into it and see how and why they are getting away with this?

Sounds like a job for the BBB....no, not OUR BBB, but the Better Business Bureau.

Heh speaking of a week of coincidences, someone on the other board I frequent just wrote about a prom dress website scam - she tried to buy a dress from them and they asked for very personal information (birthday, drivers license/passport #). They wouldn't cancel the order by email, they insisted on talking on the phone only. Scammy scammy scammy.

I got a phone call once from one of those crooked pyramid scheme people. I was really excited until I googled it. I was so pissed that the next day I called the guy and screamed at him for a good 10 minutes and told him that if I ever get a call from him OR his company again, I will sue them for harrassment.

I hate that crap.

Not exactly a scam, but today...well, I felt scammed.

I parked my car at 12:25 PM, paid the meter by 12:26 PM, and the meter clearly said that I needed to be back at 1:26 PM.

I come back at 1:25 PM to see a nice ticket on my car for "overtime parking."

I go back to the meter, enter my space number, and see that I have 45 seconds of time remaining. I have two people who are witnesses with me. The thing is, the ticket was written at 12:25 PM...BEFORE I paid, but as soon as I left my car I went straight to the machine and paid.

I contacted this guy I was told to e-mail after going to THREE different places to ask for information, and he tells me that (basically) I must be lying.

Now I owe them $20. It's not even a city-run lot. I'm so pissed.

I just wouldn't pay it if I were you. When they get upset enough about it to bring it to your attention you can dispute it.
