You're joking right. There back catalog alone is far more expansive in both shows and movies than Disney. And you won't see something like what Disney did to Splash happen on Max.Im surprised HBO hasnt delayed the launch. They got nothing to launch with lol

For most people who can't get DC Universe on their TV Titans, Doom Patrol, & Swap Thing would be like new content. All Disney has till they release their MCU shows is Mandalorian and like HBO Max their back catalogue and they (Disney) are editing their back catalogue so much it's not worth watching anymore. And given that they now own American Dad, Family Guy & King of the Hill I don't understand why they haven't released them yet.For sure, but these type of streaming thing usually like to launch with an original title a la Mandalorian to hook people in. I shouldve clarified, what i meant by “nothin to launch with” i mean new original content. But yes your absolutely right, their back catalogue is very expansive.
I mean look at it this way you have the whole DCAU coming from BTAS, STAS, JL, JLU to their current stuff and then all the DC movies and Titans and the rest (like Superboy, Lois and Clark, Smallville, Arrow, etc) and that's just of the DCU side of things. Then you have everything else WB has ever done that can keep you busy for a good while.Very true. I’ve personally been very frustrated with DC for not having DC universe available on PS4 so i can stream it on my TV and I have to use my computer (#firstworldproblems) so if HBO Max is putting everything out there and available on all the major streaming devices thats a huge selling point for me.
Yeah, they should have filmed their Doom Patrol season 2 and Green Lantern show by this launch date and maybe a few episodes of JL Dark too.Im surprised HBO hasnt delayed the launch. They got nothing to launch with lol
You also have to keep in mind that WarnerMedia has pre-existing HBO subscribers who'll be transitioning once it becomes available. They'll have everything they already had plus a ton more for the same price point.
People are going to have to make decisions though. If you were tired of your cable, internet and phone bill being $150-$200 and were like me to cut the cord, you start adding up all these streaming services and you can be paying just as much.

Something hilarious.

I still don't see why WB put more money into a different version of movie that cost the studio a lot of money and caused jobs to be lost. My thoughts are this, if WB wanted to release the movie, Zack's cut would've been out a long time ago. I mean today HBO Max debuted their original line-up, which is lacking because filming was shut-down because of the outbreak. They easily could've negotiated with Zack during quarantine to put out the cut as a launch title because of this, but they didn't. It doesn't take nearly 3 years of negotiations to release a movie that's already done.
@DS80 thanks for the info I really hope it turns out to be true. Not that I doubt your sources just been burned too many times on this so don't want to get my hopes up.
Problem is if they release it on HBO max I couldn't watch it anyway in the UK.
Then he truly would be the bald man.The one thing I don't buy is additional shooting with all the actors, man. I can buy WB/Atnt paying to finish the cgi and whatnot but not for that, because that would be opening a whole different can of worms. You think Affleck and his ppl are going to take half pay? They hold all the cards in that situation, and he allegedly got between 12-15 mill for JL, not to mention Gadot is now on a different payrate all together, she got 10 million for WW84. Not to mention she and the rest are set on different film/show schedules, especially now with this virus delaying all those projects. Gadot was in the middle of shooting 'Red Notice' etc. So if everything folds into place like we want, it would be around another 2-3 years in the best possible scenario? Cavill will truly be bald by then and they would have to cgi his hairline this time.
