Zelda

I'm not sure where to get the fishing rod yet, I might go back to Ordon to see if they have one. I spent about an hour last night exploring the mine area at Lake Hylia.

You use the real fishing rod when you go to fishing hole. Check it out because there is a heart piece and empty bottle you can get there.

Where's the heart piece? I found the bottle.

Zen, you have to go to Upper Zora River. It's up there somewhere. The minigames around there are awesome. The bird thing that takes you up the river... the canoe down the river... plus you have fishing... and that chicken thing where you jump down into Lake Hylia. All great. Canoes are awesome.

Somebody took there's back to their store near where I live. I was tempted to buy it and sell it... never did.

Look at the arch formation in the pond. It is on the eastern side of it. You have to cast your line up on it to catch it. It will take a few tries.

Bobber line, or Hena's fishing pole?

You should totally use spoiler tags. I thought you didn't have the game yet...?

Anyway, I'm not sure on the specifics... I wanna play it through for more of an understanding of where this could be in the timeline... but to be honest, I hate the timeline with pre-MM games. Aunoma seems to like the timeline.... Miyamoto never really cared for it, so games that predate OoT (and inclusive of) are linked more by coincidence in my opinion, unless Aunoma's games from here on out work to tie them all in.

It wasn't until he took over that we started hearing things like "this game takes place x-years after the events of loz:xxx" and so forth.

We'll see.

I don't but I figured that it was common knowledge about Zant being one of villain and his goal now that the game is out. And I figured that if he doesn't get a title (I don't know since I don't have the game), that the Hylians would just assume that it was the Hero of Time returning hence why they prayed for him to come again in Wind Waker.

OoT's Link got dubbed that because of his traveling through time. MM's Link didn't get an official title (if memory serves correct) because he was OoT's Link. WW's Link was dubbed Hero of Winds.

Dunno what this Link is gonna get yet... if any.

ALttP's Link was also the Hero of Legend. One of the maidens dubbed him that and Link's Awakening refered him as the Legendary Hero

people keep talking about the graphics....i dont have a wii yet, but are the graphics significantly better than the gamecube? cause if theres not significant difference i might just go with TP for GC. eventhough id love to try this wiimote nunchuck thing it sounds fantastic. as you all know the videos on the internet dont do games and systems justice so help me out here.

also in TP is the classic zelda theme on it that we all missed in ocarina of time, made a return in MM, then a new version in WW

No there's no difference at all in the graphics. The only differences between the Wii version and the Gamecube version are the controls and the ******ed mirroring.

Though Nintendo has promised downloadable content on the Wii version such as extra levels! That's what made me decide which version to get.

so in otherwords, the wii is a gamecube with a new controller

Yeah I waltzed in and they were just putting their newest shippment in the shelves. :o

There WILL be a difference eventually though. The system just started, and Zelda was meant for the GC originally. Give it a chance.

Does anyone know if I can go back and get those Hidden skills, I missed the one in the shallow pond place when I was going to get the Iron boots and now the golden wolf guy isn't there. :(

You can, just go howl at those stones again.

Oh, and I'm sure the guy I paid to wait in line would desire to kick the crap out of you.

Well technically Twilight Princess is a port of the Gamecube version. And launch titles don't really let a system show off its graphical potential.

Remember how Sony said how the Xbox 360 was more like an Xbox 1.5 in terms of graphics. Xbox 1.5 more describes the Wii in terms of graphics.

wait what.

what about the size of hyrule, is it as big as the ocean in windwaker? cuz that would be bad ass.

I think the "extra levels" thing is a long-gone myth that has since been proven wrong.

As for the "mirrored" Hyrule... honestly, you won't even know the difference. Faron Woods (the new Kokiri Forest) is South instead of West anyway. Lake Hylia is north of there where as it used to be in South Hyrule, and Zora's Domain is the most northenest point (assuming there's other areas I have yet to hit). Hyrule Castle and Castle town are in the center of Hyrule as oppose to the northern most point... and it's split into sections (NE, NW, SE, SW) with side streets. (Think Majora's Mask with the Town being in the center of the world, and split into pieces). Massive map. Some places can only be re-reached by warping to it.

It's only be mentioned a month ago and was confirmed by George Harrison who is one of Nintendo of America's top people!

And also Death Mountain and Kakariko Village are much more south than they were in OoT. In OoT, They were practically on Hyrule Castle.
