Zodiac

Yeah, the 2nd disc is awesome... All the features I wanted. And it's always great when Fincher is actually seen instead of just talked about... the man is kind of a mystery.

Haven't gotten to the commentary yet...

There's a 52 minute making of. A 1hr. 30min. documentary on the Zodiac and three of his murders, and a 40min. documentary on Arthur Leigh Alan. Two of the survivors speak, investigators, and friends of Alan all appear. Really in depth and provides a lot more insight on what happened. The survivors stories are incredible in detail.
Def sounds like a pick-up. I'd like to hear what the people who went through this think.

And that has to be one of my favourite DVD covers.

Zodiac is one of my favorite 2007 films, I thought it was genuinely creepy and overall, well written and directed. I remember reading the Zodiac book years ago, quite a chilling case.

Yeah, Fincher and crew went all out in making the documentaries. They even include the actual crime scene photos and news footage, including when the Zodiac called into that news program. And Hartnell, who survived the stabbing at the lake, said that scene was so well done and realistic that he had to look away from the screen, because it made feel like he was there again. And we get to see the real car door that the Zodiac wrote on after that attack and Hartnell sees it in person.

A while ago I watched All The President's Men, very much reminded me of Zodiac

Yeah, All The President's Men certainly came to my mind while watching Zodiac.

This is just a great movie, I wasn't to into it initially but once I got it on dvd it sky rocketed into my top 3 for the year

its gunna be sure fire snub at the oscars this, and its too bad really there is only one award this movie shouldn't be up for and that is best lead actor

It's a movie that gets better every time. I've seen it only twice now. The first time in the theater I thought it was good. The second time around on DVD, I changed my opinion to ''phenomenal''.

this movie makes me want to ask all my relatives what they were doing while it was going on cuz my whole fam has been born and raised in the bay area. Must have been crazy

I know this is a random bump, but I was watching this again for about the 5th time. And it's now officially my favorite David Fincher film. It's just that damn good.

The Spanish Director's Cut digipak is quite nice looking:

I've had Hurdy Gurdy Man stuck in my head off and on for the past couple days. Awesome song to end the film.

Very cool dvd edition! Too bad the movie wasn't all that... I mean, it had tons of atmosphere, great acting and was shot impeccably by Fincher, but ultimately the story left me very cold. Probably the effect of it being "a true story" and you have to tell the events as they happened, boring as that sometimes may be...

It is. I so need the special edition :(

I love this film. It's one that you get hooked into..It paces so well, you hardly notice how long it is.

I hear the special edition is pretty great. But every where I turn, I just find the single disc, anyone know where I can find it?

I don't know where you live, but I don't think the UK have received a special edition yet, which pains me :(
