Well continue discussing Zombies, and Zombie related events/movies/books/legends.

Probably end up being closed or movied.

But I love Walking Dead

So, Zombie Attack comes, what is your guys plans?

Mine is either the Sam's Club or the Military Base down the street that was part of "Project: Nike"

World War Z is the best book ever!

Couldn't agree more.

I've been a zombie fan for quite sometime, I love the whole end of the world setting and fight for your survival kind of scenario. I love them in movies, literature, video game etc. A truly terrifying situation with an enemy thats everywhere, who can only be stopped by destroying the brain.

This is the end.

:(

The best character in the book is the Air Force babe who lands in the zombie infested swamp.

What zombie films have you all seen?

That I can at least remember:

Night of the Living Dead
Night of the Living Dead - Remake
Dawn of the Dead
Dawn of the Dead - Remake
Day of the Dead
Land of the Dead
Planet Terror
Shaun of the Dead
28 Days Later
28 Weeks Later
Dead Alive
Zombi 2
Return of the Living Dead
Resident Evil
Resident Evil: Apocalypse

I'm also a Die Hard fan of the Resident Evil series (The games, not the movies. The movies suck.)

I was about to bring that up in the other thread, but figured not to make the topic at hand go off course, but this the hype, its happening every second. I do remember the air force woman, she had to hide in a tree with zombies hanging around at the base trying to get her.

Also, is anyone else really super excited for Diary of the Dead? George A Romero is going to be at comicon so I assume he'll finally be showing something off.

Quick question: Gun store with bars on the windows or a Costco full of food?

Costco. Just look at the Dawn remake to see why shopping center > gun store.

Both would be good destinations, but they both have negative points.

The gun store, yes it's good to be armed and you maybe lucky enough to arm yourself with a few weapons and ammo. But it's a safe bet to think others would think the same, and I could only assume the pandemonium that would attract a crowd of zombies. That is, if the store hasn't been raided before you got there. As for Costco, same scenario but if you can barricade the entrances somehow you might have a chane to survive. Just make sure you eat only non-perishable food, and since it's a Costco there should be all kinds of stuff you can make use of. Now if everyone could work as a team, the chances of survival would increase.

Of course, this is all theoretical.

Here's my plan...

  1. Gather all the weapons I have at my apartment, pistol and katana
  2. Head for Cheaper than Dirt, it's a military surplus store that sells water purification units, MRE's and lots and lots of guns.
  3. Either persuade the clerk to join or politely kill him
  4. Secure the exits and hang out on the roof till it's all over.

Well, assuming there isn't a mass breakout and collapse of chain of command on my base, I'd do what I was ordered to.

Pfft, I'd just head to the mall and steal ****, lol

I'd head to Alaska or Brimstone Island (An Old Salt mining/bootlegging island in Lake Erie)

Brimestone would be perfect because there are alot fruits and such plus Salt mines are all securable with the giant steel doors, plus its and Island Zombies really can't swim.
