I liked Bianca just fine and I understood all that. If I had any complaint it was that they killed her off. I would have loved yo see more of her hunting Jackal down.
Well, as someone who questioned her morality in my post, I know exactly what I would have thought about that character if it was a man - the exact same. It's as simple as that. Also, I don’t mean to antagonize anyone here but I have to push back on criticisms that Bianca is “unlikable.” Maybe if I saw that criticism levied at male protagonists on the regular then I wouldn’t have an issue, but I swear, 99% of the time that word is thrown around (and not just with TV shows and movies) it’s directed at a woman. Granted, Bianca did some awful things on this show but that’s kind of the point; while she’s acting for the right reasons, she occasionally has to do things that are morally questionable or just flat out wrong. And yet, I would venture to say that if a man was the one perusing the Jackal and doing a bunch of questionable stuff, people wouldn’t be calling him unlikable. He would just be “complex” or “complicated.”
I would love to know if this was the original planned ending they had in mind,I liked Bianca just fine and I understood all that. If I had any complaint it was that they killed her off. I would have loved yo see more of her hunting Jackal down.
Her indifference to collateral damage is what bugged me in the 1st few episodes.Well, as someone who questioned her morality in my post, I know exactly what I would have thought about that character if it was a man - the exact same. It's as simple as that.
I think of it more as being naive. I don't think she knew how it was all going to come apart. Her indifference to collateral damage is what bugged me in the 1st few episodes.
