🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

Is the downing of the spy drone over the Black Sea such a big deal? No lives were lost and even though it’s an expensive piece of equipment, it was always a possibility that it could be destroyed. Is the worry that the Russians could find it and learn how our drones work?
Supposedly the Russians found a piece of it, yes, but that's always going to be the risk with drones. I think the main thing is that it was deliberately forced down.

Looks like Turkey and Hungary will ratify Finland's NATO application before the end of the month.
Great to hear. Hopefully that can take Finland off the map of potential Russia targets for good. I had a really good holiday in Finland about 15 years ago so I’ve got a soft spot for it.

Oh they definitely did. They've been violating the air spaces of their neighbors frequently.
If anyone does it to them it would start a full scale war but they expect everyone else to tolerate it. Same goes for China.

Oh, yeah. Their hypocrisy knows no bounds.

True. I hadn't even thought of it that way though most North Koreans are taught to hate Americans bybthe government almost from birth.

As far as they’re concerned nothing they do will ever be a crime.
Well I certainly hope they get corrected on that sometime or there will be more Ukraines in our future. :(
