🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

Russia's survival? I'm pretty sure Russia attacked first.....

The Washington Post - Putin interview with Tucker Carlson shows Kremlin outreach to Trump’s GOP
It is a real crisis. Haven't you seen all of the useful idiots that drove to the Texas border calling themselves "God's Army"? I mean, sure, they're only fighting amongst themselves now, but that might change, you know? :o

How can they keep doing this when they are supposedly running out of things?
Russia's not really running out of things.

Early on in the war, I think that it was the case that Western leaders underestimated Russian economic resilience and industrial capacity, but at this point claims about them harvesting microchips from washing machines and running out of missiles and tanks are just disinformation.

The reality is that each of the Russian army, economy, political unity, and diplomatic prestige everywhere except the West is now stronger than it was two years ago.

The best gift that the West ever gave Putin was instructing Zelensky to walk away from peace negotiations and encouraging him to fight.

Yeah because "negotiations" with Putin work so well. If there had just been negotiations, maybe Crimea would have never been taken over and Ukraine wouldn't be under attack today. Maybe Spain needs to start up negotiations with France so war doesn't break out or maybe Norway and Sweden need to broker a deal.

Somehow, most of the world (Africa, Asia, etc) has no problem negotiating with Putin. For example, there is a wait-list of over 30 countries that wish to join BRICS.

Soooooooo,,,,,,,Ukraine is responsible for this whole mess because they didn't negotiate with him? There's nothing wrong with negotiating trade and so forth, but if a neighbor is trying to take over your country, what's to negotiate? That's why I gave the examples I did......neighboring countries. Putin evidently has the right to tell another country what they can and can't do? Ukraine wasn't marching on Moscow.
