I wish there was something that could make Russia give up and go away. They will never be punished for their crimes.

China dropping support would end it fast...not punish Russia, but at least force Russia to stand down.
But for that to happen, Europe would need to get away from relying on America so much.

China and the global South won't stop backing Russia, as they need a counterbalance to the West in order to survive. The global majority doesn't want to go back to the 19th century.

If the USA wants to defeat Russia, it will first need to stop Israel's genocide of Gaza. That is costing resources and political capital. Make concessions to each of North Korea, Iran, Yemen, Venezuela, etc. It will then need to institute a draft, raise a million troops or so. It can't just be people of color dying, everybody will have to go. Finally it will have to mobilize to a war economy. That means more shop class and phys Ed for high school students to prepare them for the army, and raising tax rates to war levels, say 50% or so.

Biden, Lindsay Graham, Macron, etc want Ukraine to sacrifice all of their lives in a pure infantry/trench war, lower the conscription age to 18 including women, never negotiate under any circumstances, and for the country to be hundreds of billions of dollars in debt so that Western corporations like Blackrock own everything there.
