🇷🇺🇺🇦 Discussion: Relations with Russia and the war in Ukraine

What a nightmare that our foreign policy now has more in common with Russia than our NATO allies.

Modern age isolationism and willingness to allow a dictator to conquer his neighbors is not a good combination. Especially when our president admires the dictator.

And basically became President in the first place because of the dictator. :(

People keep complaining that Ukraine hasn’t paid back the money they owe us. I don’t know exactly how the deal was worded but I’m not sure how they are supposed to pay it back while still fighting the Russians. I guess we’re ok with dictators conquering their neighbors because fighting them is too expensive. Freedom should be cheap.

It never once occurred to me that these were loans. I just figured we were just helping them out without expecting anything in return because they were an ally.

Oh no, I’ve heard people complain that Biden wasn’t even trying to get the money back and others glad that Trump is going after the minerals deal for repayment.

I'm suspecting those people probably wouldn't be much help in a storm. :(
